Dinesh D'Souza Talks about "The Roots of Obama's Rage
Dakota Voice ^ | 10/1/10 | Bob Ellis

Author Dinesh D’Souza has a new book out entitled The Roots of Obama’s Rage.

In brief, the book is about Barack Obama’s youth and formative experiences that ideologically made him the man he is today. You may recall a recent column by D’Souza which provided just a teaser of what may be found in the book.

This series of videos (below) made by D’Souza provide some glimpses of what you’ll find in the book. Like D’Souza, Obama lived a great deal of his life off the U.S. mainland–even in foreign countries. D’Souza grew up in India and came to the States when he was 17. Both of them are about the same age, graduated college the same year and married in the same year. (I would add that while D’Souza lived in a completely different country for his first 17 years, he has a fantastically greater grasp of and appreciation for what America is than does Obama.)

...SCOTUS is now quietly looking into Zero’s bonafides.

^^
What can they do? Don’t they have to wait for someone else to bring a suit that they can rule on?

Big Redd, You are correct they can only rule on cases brought before them.

Burt remember what Justice Thomas comment was about the qualification issue being evasive. There are two meaning of the word evasive...One like were evading paying taxes ...the other the problem is evasive as in needing deep study, contemplation.....

No doubt that ARE looking at the issue and discussing it to see how they can do the least harm to the USA and the constitution.

Also remember the order of succession...Look it up and note who will be in power until Jan. and who the BO appointments are.

With that in mind surely there are lawyers who understand the problem to name the correct defendants, plaintiff and premise.

the origin of Al Quida’s hatred of America.

Would be interested in knowing your take on that. Any resources, books, you'd advise?

Dinesh and Beck are so smart, but they have blinders on with regard to the Long Form BC. I just don’t get it.

I think it's because he doesn't want to credit Orly Taitz for coming up with the important themes in his book. He's standing on her shoulders.

I heard a rumor that SCOTUS is now quietly looking into Zero’s bonafides. Most of them, including Anthony Kennedy are still highly P.O’d about Zero’s lying smackdown he made in the State of the Union speech in January, where the camera showed Chief Justice John Roberts mouthing “Not true!” under his breath in reply to Zero’s lie.

The guy at the State of the Union Address mouthing "Not true" and shaking his head was Justice Alito.

That was Alito, not Roberts.

I’m not one to get into conversations about politics with people I don’t know either, but I am currently in a conversation by email with an acquaintance about the budget and how much money from each dollar of taxes goes to which program. I can’t get him to understand that the interest on the federal debt is just that interest. We are not paying principal and we owe so much money in principal that those supposed dollars earmarked for the programs such as Medicare and DOD amount to more debt. We are not paying for them. We are just digging a deeper hole of debt.

Now I’m not one to share my political views with strangers....BUT from the multiple encounters in a half hour trip to Walmart, the country is talking about Beck and D’Souza.....USA is listening.....

This makes me feel good. To defeat this creep, we have to know what makes him tic, and what his motivation and potential plans might be.

Thanks for posting this, and taking the time to discuss this issue with those people at Wal-Mart!

That may be true, but you and some others need to recognize this.

The birth certificate is irrelevant. Where Obama was born is irrelevant. When Obama was born is irrelevant. Nothing on his birth certificate is relevant to the discussion of his eligibility to hold the office of the Presidency. Such discussions about the birth certificate are smokescreens.

The only relevant fact, and what is already known to be fact, is that Obama's father was not a US citizen at the time of his birth, and as such, Obama is a person with divided or questionable allegiances, and as such, is not a Natural Born Citizen. Any reasonable examination of the founders' and framers' intent with regard to the Natural Born Citizen requirement for President of the US, can only show that their concern and warnings against such foreign usurpations is exactly what we are experiencing with this presidency.

Obama is not, has never been, and will never be eligible to legitimately hold the office of the President of the United States, according to the Constitution, and according to the founders' intent.

Everyone in Congress knows this. Everyone on the Supreme Court knows this. Everyone in Obama's administration knows this. Every major government in the world, friend or foe, knows this. Everyone in the media knows this. Now you know this.

Think about it, and sleep well.

I think it has to be that there is a blanket of silence that has been thrown. The are petrified of Zero being proven ineligible partly because of the repercussions to those who have been complicit. Then there is the incredible mess that would ensue with the constitutional crisis that would result. The election would be null and void, everything he signed into law would not be valid, all agreements with other nations would be null and void. It would be a huge mess. They are petrified.

It is pretty simple, really. People who hold the world view of fundamentalist Islam can see that their societies are no match for the material progress of the West. If the trends that have been in effect for the last couple hundred years continue for another couple of hundred, fundamentalist Islam will be no more. Because those who believe in the world view of fundamentalist Islam believe their culture to be superior to the West in every way, they cannot believe that this is a result of their world view being wrong. No, it must be a plot against them, with the US allied with all evil in the world to destroy them. As with many true believers, they think that if they simply follow the requirements of Islam more stringently and more completely (which includes attacks on unbelievers), they will ultimately triumph.

The war in Afghanistan and the fall of the Soviet Union are seen as proof of their faith. They interpret these events as pure victories of Islam.

So, in their mind they are fighting a holy war against the Great Satan, and they can only lose if they lose their faith.

Changing one’s world view is one of the hardest things for any adult to do. Most would rather die than do so.

I read the same here on FR in a comment someone made a few weeks ago. I don’t remember what discussion it was posted to.

Well yes this is true...additionally the indoctrination methods to Islam and the treatment of their people from childhood up leaves them with many Psycological problems...let alone critical thinking abilities..which are for the most part absent. Thus the Koran has destroyed many of the peoples minds to even be open to any other aspect of life than that which the Koran requires...which is exactly what the Imans want in order to retain their power over the people.

I don’t see this changing anymore than it has in the past...except at times they rise up as we see them doing now. But the average individual in their country knows nothing more than what they are told to believe and practice....and yes, they will die rather than change...and do so willingly.

This will not change regardless of the helps and attention we give them...the most we can hope for is a prescious few will leave Islam...and for that loose their families. At worst be hunted and killed.

Well, I think none of us knows who exactly is in power, but we know that they are the ones in the shadows who put The One on the throne. He is just the window dressing, which is why impeachment and pursuing the birth certificate issue are, IMO, just a waste of time.

I think Cashill missed part of what D’Souza wrote in the book. Obama Sr. was not just an anti-colonialist, but he was a particular political stripe of one. D’Souza mentions this in writing at length in the book about Jomo Kenyatta, who ended up beating out Obama, Sr, politically, and that Kenyatta was pro-Western, pro-American, but wanted Kenya to be its own independent nation. Note that in the book, Obama, Sr visits little Barry’s school class at Punahou and talks about being called “Burning Spear”, which was, in fact KENYATTA’s nickname! Obama, Sr, could not get over the fact of being beaten (politically), and was stealing the name of his rival due to inadequacy. Obama, Sr, was not JUST an anti-colonialist, but a socialist (in particular, redistributionist, D’Souza mentioned his writings on that point)This is important in understanding the father and the son The loss to Kenyatta is what destroyed Obama, Sr, causing his downward spiral into the alcoholism that eventually killed him. That is another possible motivator for Obama Jr. He’s not only going to hate the “oppressor” colonialists, he’s also going to hate anyone who wants to get along with them. That would explain why Obama Jr, picks nothing but extremist ideologues, and is of predictive value in showing that he will likely not triangulate like a Clinton might. Any move toward the center is going to be seen as being a Kenyatta, i.e. a collaborator or Uncle Tom.
Cashill ignores D’Souza making this point in his column in AT. There’s no way that Obama Jr would be anything other than what his father is, not JUST an anti-colonialist, but a socialist/Marxist/redistributionist one, in spades. This guy is not likely to move toward the middle any time soon, unless he has no alternative whatsoever left to him. In fact, he will likely rather go down and take others with him (seeing them as collaborators) in a blaze of pseudo-glory, which would feed his inner narcissism. In his own mind, he could then be a “hero” who gave up everything for his passion, like the false image he has in his mind of his father.

There’s also a VERY interesting passage in D’Souza’s book about a meeting that Obama has with one of his (many) siblings, (not George.. I forget this one’s name) who has basically adapted, and become part of regular society. This brother also dropped the O name. Met him once, never met him again, pretty much erased him from Obama’s world entirely as a “sellout” (much like his grandfather was!) and like Obama Jr’s mother treated Lolo Soetoro.

D’Souza’s book is VERY revealing, and very close to the mark, leaving out the birth certificate thing.

I still find the argument the Zer0 spent little time with Dad, but plenty of time with Gramps and Frank (and Mom) to be the simpler and easier answer to "what the heck is he thinking?".

It seems more likely that he absorbed a majority of his political philosophy from those three rather than from Dad.
