What America would look like if the NRA has its way

If you’ve been puzzled by the NRA’s endorsements of liberal Democrats and wondering what would happen if it got its way, here’s the voting records of a sample of the NRA’s liberal Democrat buddies.

Note: NARAL is a pro abortion group ACU is the American Conservative Union, NTU is the National Taxpayers Union GOA is the Gun Owners of America SEIU is the Service Employees International Union a far left group. Their cumulative scores are as follows: NARAL 67.5% ACU 18.2% NTU 11.7% SEIU 90.3% GOA C-

The numbers strongly suggest that the NRA is perfectly pleased with the way our nation is suffering under the oppression of liberal Democrat rule.

In the NRA’s America our weakest and most defenseless would continue to be slaughtered by abortion with support from federal taxpayer money. The socially sick policies of the SEIU would continue to over rule the conservative wishes of the American people.

We would ultimately be denied our guns by the very people the NRA would keep in power Nancy Pelosi Harry Reid and Barack Obama.

A partial list of liberal Democrats supported by the NRA is as follows:

SD Stephanie Sandlin NARAL 100% ACU 20% NTU 22% GOA “D” SEIU 80%;

MN 1 Tim Walz NARAL 100% ACU 4% NTU 6% GOA “D” SEIU 100%

Florida 2 Allen Boyd NARAL 100% ACU 13% NTU 17% GOA “C” SEIU 72%.

ND Earl Pomeroy NARAL 50% ACU 8% NTU 9% GOA “D” SEIU 90%.

Ohio 16 John Boccieri NARAL 25% ACU 8% NTU 10% GOA not rated SEIU 81%.

Ind 2 Joe Donnelly NARAL 0% ACU 24% NTU 21% GOA “B” SEIU 90% More….

The NRA has lost its way.

Just another K Street lobbying firm playing the Washington insider game.

They quit getting my hard earned dollars years ago.

“The NRA has lost its way.”

Unfortunately that happened many years ago, and began with the character assignation and marginalizing of Neal Knox.

When he lost, we all lost - and the 2nd amendment lost most!

When all of these candidates get pummeled on Nov 2nd, then we can begin the purge of the NRA.

Peter DeFazio, OR-4, is another example. Former chair of the Progressive Caucus, he holds the rural votes by being pro-gun and pro-veterans. The old school union members vote for anything with a D after its’ name. Not sure if NRA is endorsing him this go-’round...membership lapsed, so I don’t get notices.

Someone assigned character to Neal Knox?

While we’ve bee hosed by some republicans over the years, it is generally worse when democrats have the majority.

For this reason alone, I’ll never vote for a dem, even if he/she is pro RKBA, because it’s not the single candidate that helps or hurts us, it is the dem majority.

I find it hard to believe the NRA doesn’t realize that the leftists (ie DEMS) it supports would be delighted to sell out gun owners and betray our 2nd amendment rights whenever the right time should present itself. What a tragedy that the left has taken over a once fine organization. Like many others I’m sure, I am a FORMER member.

I’ve just quit them and they won’t be getting any more of my money.
Yet again the left infiltrates another group like they have done with churches, groups, tried to do with the boy scouts and now getting into the military while promoting some wishy washy fool PC to a higher rank.

I’ve often wondered why more people aren’t GOA members as opposed to NRA members. GOA is more conservative IMHO.

I suppose marketing has a big role in it.

Their use of fear mongering to get memberships and contributions got to the stupid level. It seemed like every week I'd get another 'urgent' request for money to stop the gun grabbers. I finally figured out that the NRA was working with the gun grabbers, in other words, the two groups were united in working boths ends from the middle.

These attacks on the NRA are ridiculous. I’m sure they would receive 100% support from the Brady Campaign, Chuck Schumer, Carolyn McCarthy, the DNC and every other anti gun nutjob. Its pretty stupid to abandon the most successful and influential pro gun group in favor of NOTHING. The GOA and the other groups aren’t even on the RAT radar. Go ahead and cut off your nose to spite your face if it makes you feel better, but the anti-gun RATS are just laughing at you.

I have a feeling that the election of Obama and a Democrat majority in Congress has been good for business at Smith & Wesson, Winchester, Remington, etc. Politics is politics, but business is their business.

To quote Bob Shieffer “Is THIS the best you’ve got?”

Where are the rest of the NRA’s sycophants?
PS You can bet The GOA will be on the rats’s radar starting Nov. 3, the NRA has jumped the shark.

PPS I doubt if many sane Democrats will be laughing anytime soon.

Yes, having been a member of the NRA, GOA, and JPFO (though I'm not Jewish), I am firmly of the opinion that the latter two organizations are on target with respect to the Second Amendment, and the NRA is becoming more and more wishy-washy every election cycle.

Also, the NRA should know that anytime there is a Democratic majority in Congress, gun rights are in peril. For that reason alone, they should not endorse any Democrat ever. The Party itself is a direct threat to the Second Amendment.

The NRA sucks. They refuse to endorse Sharron Angle here in Nevada. GOA gives her an A+ and 100% support. She is a strong Constitutionist. The NRA is covering it's bet that Reid will win. The NRA can kiss my a$$.

“To quote Bob Shieffer “Is THIS the best you’ve got?””

Its apparently good enough that YOU cant refute any of it. Face it, virtually all of the heavy lifting on the gun issue has been done by the NRA. That’s not going to change despite the lame attempts by a bunch of short sighted malcontents to weaken the organization. I have nothing against the GOA but what are they going to do differently after the election that will make them more effective?

“Face it, virtually all of the heavy lifting on the gun issue has been done by the NRA.”

Including giving us the the most restrictive gun control act ever: The 1968 Gun Control Act. It banned interstate sales, mail order, and introduced all kinds of regulation we suffer with today. That You the Not Rally Americans, NRA.

Charlton Heston was the major sponsor of the 1968 GCA and demanded it get pushed through. Years later he gives us the propaganda with his musket held high, yet, he is the very one that demanded its passing. Neither he nor the NRA ever lifted a finger to get it removed.

Nonsense. How did the NRA “give us” the GCA of 68? They never even supported it. And for that you have hated the NRA since 1968?

This anti-NRA stuff is crazy. Maybe it’s like Churchhill after WWII. He successfully lead England though the war and then when the threat was over they dumped him. If you NRA-haters think the threat is over because of the Heller decision, you are sadly mistaken.
