Did you know that there are, "reportedly," groups that are exempt from the Obamacare requirement to own health insurance? I say this, mindful that Nancy Pelosi declared "we have to pass the bill to find out what's in it." It passed and we are still trying to find out what's in it.
But, according to Sally Pipes in her book, The Truth About Obamacare, some religious groups are exempt from the mandate to own health care. Groups such as "Christian Scientists, who are uncomfortable with modern medicine, as well as Scientologists, whose criticisms are less clear, and Muslims who might oppose the idea of insurance altogether. American Indians are also exempt" (41).
If true, we may need to refresh our reading of the Declaration of Independence:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created EQUAL, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government..."
Arbitrary exemptions will do nothing to increase the popularity of Obamacare, but may go a long way in increasing the the membership rolls of Scientologists.
Based on my read, equal is equal.
This alone is enough for me to reject the health care plan. Ask the family of Lisa McPherson.
So when does CPS start taking the children of these groups for failure to obtain health insurance? I’m not advocating it but if I were a dad without coverage for my kids I’d be worried.

I’m a Christian if I say I am. Therefore, I must be a “christian scientist” if I say I am.
It’s amazing just how stupid those we elect can be. Were they not intelligent enough to see that millions of people would all of a sudden become “religious” if some religions are exempt? OH, I forgot. The didn’t read it.
And why isn’t there on reporter out there, even on Fox, who will ask the above question?

As per Obamacare, muslims are exempt, as they consider insurance to be tantamount to gambling.
As Christians, Obama has set US up to pay for the medical care of muslims——his buddies-—”jizya”.
I’ve noticed the Scientology perps are now advertising on TV.

I have considered my self to be a Scientologist for the past 23 years. I keep fit and eat healthy, take vitamins, get plenty of rest and water. Using these measures as well as auditing and education, I have been sick free for 23 years. I don’t feel I need health insurance. The part that has troubled me with ObamaCare is the fact that all health plans have mental health coverage. I can not and will not support these Nazi’s psychiatrists.
