Thank You.....from Delaware

Fellow Freepers,

I want to humbly thank you for the support you gave to Christine O'Donnell here in Delaware.

So many of you gave money, prayers and moral support as we here tried to break the Democrat hold on the good people of Delaware.

Today, you will hear stories about Christine--about what a poor candidate she was, how Mike Castle was the better choice and a guaranteed win in DE for the GOP, and that she ran a poor campaign.

Believe NONE of it. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting and talking with Christine numerous times during this campaign as Mrs.exit82 and I attended various campaign events.

I heard with my own ears what she stood for, what she would do in the Senate, especially in the lame duck session. I saw her interact with all kinds of people, even those opposed to her. I saw her stand up for the unborn, for the Constitution, for fiscal sanity, for repealing Obamacare, for upholding conservative principles.

I also know that Mike Castle would NOT have won Delaware. The Democrats would not have elected a faux Democrat when they could have voted for a real one in Coons. Obama and Biden would never have come here to help Mike Castle.

As far as running a poor campaign, I don't think so. She had a little more than eight weeks to ramp up an organization, from a shoe-string in the primary, all in the face of no help from her own party in the beginning, and the media onslaught against her.

After all, why discuss issues when we can discuss dabbling in witchcraft 25 years ago, whether she paid her bills, whether she believes in evolution or not.

In the end, it was not enough. The braindead people in Northern Delaware, who had their property taxes raised by Coons three times, over 50%, just couldn't resist pulling the "D" lever one more time.

Christine O'Donnell has guts. She took the hits and did her best. Her defeat of Mike Castle changed Delaware politics forever.

Anyway, no doubt she will be analyzed and criticized and joked about ad infinitum.

However, to me, she is me. And I am proud of her. She helped change the landscape across the country by sticking to her principles.

The purpose of this post is just to say "thank you" to all you Freepers that helped in any way to get her elected. You buoyed our efforts, knowing there were folks all over pulling for us.

Freepers are the best people on the planet. I have been one since late 1998, and I have seen that over and over.

Words are inadequate, but I hope you all know how much I, and we here in Delaware, appreciate all of YOUR efforts on behalf of our little state.

This was one battle, not the war.Our country is worth fighting for, and I sincerely hope Christine will once again be in the fight for all of us.

Thank you, Freepers. You are the best.

I agree...she was a primary target for the progressives out there...from both parties. She came across as very well informed to me and I donated to her campaign even though I couldn’t cast a vote for her....we got stuck with Boswell(D) in my district again here in Iowa so i feel your pain. Looks like a good trend overall nationally, just wish we could have kept that momentum going here locally.

Thanks!! Great post!!

And even with the tremendous gains across the country yesterday, I am left scratching my head as to how many mascocistic Americans there still are who, when given a clear choice on who would IMPROVE their lifestyle, will still pull the lever for a Socialist just because a candidate used TV ads to sling mud at the opponent.

The only conclusion I can come to is that there are MANY of just down right lazy Americans who STILL, even after Obama and the DEM Congress, really think that it does not who goes to Washington.

My other conclusion is that Americans are so obsessed with the social platform of a candidate over the fiscal platform of a candidate....

Doesn’t Coons remind you of the Emperor from “Star Wars?”

After all, ... The Class of 98 does heavy lifting still.

Must be our lot in life ;).

Loved your tagline--that's what matters most.

She was unqualified and unprepared to be Senator. Why not EARN a senate shot by working your way up through the state house. She IS cute though.

I was happy to do what I could. Christine did conservatism and her nation great service in making her run. What was revealed about the GOP as an institution was invaluable.

She did nit win her race, but she did reveal a spy ring in the GOP.

God bless her, and as for the GOP institutional quislings and catamites, read the psalm:

Psalms Chapter 144. Of David.

Blessed be the LORD, my rock, who trains my hands for battle, my fingers for war;

My safe guard and my fortress, my stronghold, my deliverer, My shield, in whom I trust, who subdues peoples under me.

LORD, what are mortals that you notice them; human beings, that you take thought of them?

They are but a breath; their days are like a passing shadow.

LORD, incline your heavens and come; touch the mountains and make them smoke.

Flash forth lightning and scatter my foes; shoot your arrows and rout them.

Reach out your hand from on high; deliver me from the many waters; rescue me from the hands of foreign foes. Their mouths speak lies; their right hands are raised in lying oaths.

O God, a new song I will sing to you; on a ten-stringed lyre I will play for you. You give victory to kings; you delivered David your servant.

From the menacing sword deliver me; rescue me from the hands of foreign foes. Their mouths speak untruth; their right hands are raised in lying oaths.

May our sons be like plants well nurtured from their youth, Our daughters, like carved columns, shapely as those of the temple.

May our barns be full with every kind of store. May our sheep increase by thousands, by tens of thousands in our fields; may our oxen be well fattened.

May there be no breach in the walls, no exile, no outcry in our streets.

Happy the people so blessed; happy the people whose God is the LORD.

Thanks for contributing to various campaigns in other states. That made a difference for many candidates. That’s how we can counteract the special interests, too.

Palin said on Fox that the exit polls showed that even Castle wouldn't have won last night. Is that true?

Yes.

Yes, Tokyo Rove did a number on her right out of the blocks.

He never did admit he was trying to get the Delare 9-12 Patriots and the other Tea Party folks here in DE to unite under Mike Castle last December. They told him to get lost.

Gee, wonder who paid his bill? Hmmm......

I got a call from the NRSCC this morning asking for a donation. I told them my answer was 2 words: Christine O’Donnell.

I really believe that Christine took one for the team. She absorbed all the “let’s make Republicans look like freaks” media energy that would have been used to destroy other Republicans who did win.

She gave it a good try. She exposed the so-called journalists for what they are — democRAT hacks with no credibility and no integrity. It’s a sad day when the liberal media is permitted to affect the outcome of elections by spewing lies. Negative ads are part of the game but there should be a requirement that they be truthful.
