Thank You.....from Delaware

Fellow Freepers,

I want to humbly thank you for the support you gave to Christine O'Donnell here in Delaware.

So many of you gave money, prayers and moral support as we here tried to break the Democrat hold on the good people of Delaware.

Today, you will hear stories about Christine--about what a poor candidate she was, how Mike Castle was the better choice and a guaranteed win in DE for the GOP, and that she ran a poor campaign.

Believe NONE of it. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting and talking with Christine numerous times during this campaign as Mrs.exit82 and I attended various campaign events.

I heard with my own ears what she stood for, what she would do in the Senate, especially in the lame duck session. I saw her interact with all kinds of people, even those opposed to her. I saw her stand up for the unborn, for the Constitution, for fiscal sanity, for repealing Obamacare, for upholding conservative principles.

I also know that Mike Castle would NOT have won Delaware. The Democrats would not have elected a faux Democrat when they could have voted for a real one in Coons. Obama and Biden would never have come here to help Mike Castle.

As far as running a poor campaign, I don't think so. She had a little more than eight weeks to ramp up an organization, from a shoe-string in the primary, all in the face of no help from her own party in the beginning, and the media onslaught against her.

After all, why discuss issues when we can discuss dabbling in witchcraft 25 years ago, whether she paid her bills, whether she believes in evolution or not.

In the end, it was not enough. The braindead people in Northern Delaware, who had their property taxes raised by Coons three times, over 50%, just couldn't resist pulling the "D" lever one more time.

Christine O'Donnell has guts. She took the hits and did her best. Her defeat of Mike Castle changed Delaware politics forever.

Anyway, no doubt she will be analyzed and criticized and joked about ad infinitum.

However, to me, she is me. And I am proud of her. She helped change the landscape across the country by sticking to her principles.

The purpose of this post is just to say "thank you" to all you Freepers that helped in any way to get her elected. You buoyed our efforts, knowing there were folks all over pulling for us.

Freepers are the best people on the planet. I have been one since late 1998, and I have seen that over and over.

Words are inadequate, but I hope you all know how much I, and we here in Delaware, appreciate all of YOUR efforts on behalf of our little state.

This was one battle, not the war.Our country is worth fighting for, and I sincerely hope Christine will once again be in the fight for all of us.

Thank you, Freepers. You are the best.

She is a really decent person, and her character shown through. Coons, on the other hand is an insufferable boor, vindictive, too.

But the liberal media couldn’t be bothered with reporting examples of that, now, could they?

And an Amen from me. I too have met Christine O’Donnell on more than one occassion. She is a geniuine person who is deeply concerned about the state and its people.

Frankly, Christine O’Donnell is too good for Delaware. They deserve Coons and his tax increases. At no time did he address issues of concern, but attack he did, on the most trivial things.

And the RINOs who stabbed her in the back, It ain’t over yet. We’re coming for you.

Yes. The thing I keep wondering is, if Mike Castle was such a strong candidate in DE, why couldn't he win his own party's primary? If you can't even win your primary, what does that say about your chances in the general election?

There are just some states that will elect 'Rats no matter what. Look at places like CA. The place is falling apart and they keep on beating themselves over the head and electing 'Rats. Same with NY. Those kind of places need to hit absolute rock bottom before anyone other than a 'Rat has a chance. NJ kind of went through that last year. MI went through it this year.

She was unqualified and unprepared to be Senator.

Do you know she was the Republican candidate for senator in 2008? What did she become unqualified since then?

I, too, can’t figure out some Americans. Is it Stockholm Syndrome? Why can’t they vote in their obvious best interests?

I really think our educational system has accomplished its real mission.

She is certainly qualified, according to the Constitution.

Cute had nothing to do with it. She was smarter, and more correct on the issues than Coons.

She was certainly prepared to go to DC and be a Senator and vote against Cap and Trade.

I don’t understand your thinking. Neither does Al Franken.

Did she win? Did she even have a college degree then? Had she ever held a significant elected office then? She is cute though.

Palin said on Fox that the exit polls showed that even Castle wouldn't have won last night. Is that true? Yes.

That's a stretch. They base their story on exit polling. It's no surprise that those who left their homes to actually vote would skew favorably to Coons. There is absolutely no method of determining if Castle would have won in Christine's place.

Don't get me wrong; I wanted her to win, and prefer strong conservatives to run rather than the Castles of the world, but it's a bit silly to assume Castle would have lost. But I doubt a Castle win would have been satisfying at any rate. Better to have sent the message within the GOP that conservatives will be favored in the primaries.

Thanks for the prayers, and for all of your pings, too, during the campaign. Didn’t get a chance to respond to all of them, but appreciated them nonetheless.

Saw Christine up close with the farmers here when the Delaware Farm Bureau gave her their endorsement. They loved her, and farmers know bullcrap when they see it.

They didn’t see ANY that day.

I think you made a great point. She was the point person and took a lot of heat that would have been directed against other conservative candidates.

Yes, and the same results.

Well, hopefully RINOs will be now be on the endangered species list.

Well she was a poor candidate.

She lost. I don’t even care that Coons won, better him than Castle.

Looking back I now wish that Lowden had won in NV. She would have beat Harry Reid.

There was nothing wrong with her, she was a conservative. I think we need to learn a lesson from these losses.

Reid and Nevada are officially married to the mob. That relationship comes with some serious prenups.

One question that I have though.....How does scum of the earth Harry Reid win and his son Rory lose?

Thanks for your help, Reddy. She showed Castle the door, and exposed Tokyo Rove as a RINO clown.

This was a time for choosing, and some Pubbies failed the test.
