And so it begins. This is an outrage. An infidel was prosecuted by Obama's Department of Justice and sent to jail for a year for saying in an email that he would do WHATEVER it takes to eradicate Islam. So what? A year in prison? A $3,000 fine?
We witnessed a traitorous Department of Justice refuse to prosecute the Black Panther party for voter harassment and intimidation with weapons on Election day. Senior DoJ lawyers resigned in protest.
"Obama has Violated His Oath of Office" in Racist Dept of Justice Decision to Drop New Black Panther Party Voter Intimidation Case and Mandate DOJ Policy: "No Voter Intimidation Cases Will Brought Against Black Defendent Where the Victim is White" (read it at Atlas Shrugs)
The Department of Justice sponsored a booth at the Muslim Brotherhood front ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) convention underwritten by, among others, the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas-linked CAIR.
Obama's Department of Justice sued a New Jersey county, alleging that it refused to accommodate a Muslim employee's khimar, a religious head covering. The suit seeks monetary damages and also seeks to require Essex County to adopt a policy that accommodates the religious observances and practices of employees.
Further, Obama's Department of Justice dropped the "charges" against the Muslims who blew up the USS Cole.
Obama's Department of Justice is still trying to bring the 911 mastermind to New York City for a civilian trial. And these examples are just the tip of the iceberg. The prosecution of Sobolevskiy is by far the worst, and Judge David G. Bernthal, referring to the defendants crime as an act of terror, is in need of immediate removal. Nuts.

bump
that is not a specific, credible threat.
obama justice department head needs to be impeached. This is corruption. Theres no equal justice in the US with him around
Which means there had to be more to it. In my experience, there virtually always is, and these statements are designed to get people riled up. Not that the current DOJ isn’t despicable, but let’s use facts, not hyperbole and assumption.
Colonel, USAFR
A thoughtful person who read Atlas Shrugs went and looked up the case she’s talking about, and found the whole statement the defendant made. He quoted it in a comment on the article you posted. It said:
Close down the CIMIC [Central Illinois Mosque and Islamic Center] by May 12th, or it will be closed for you. the muslims that attend it are not to be seen in public with their beards or hijabs. tell them to get rid of such things. failure to comply will result in much tribulations for you and muslims in the region. i am not afraid to do whatever it takes to eradicate islam. WHATEVER it takes.
As the Atlas shrugs commenters after that one said, this is not the easiest statement to defend. I support Atlas Shrugs and think Pam Geller is a brave person fighting the good fight, but I’m not sure I’d have picked this particular battle.
Of course, as one of the commenters pointed out, there’s plenty of violence and threats in the Koran. Should we expect the Justice Department to punish people who disseminate that?
If he'd used a lawyer he'd walked and maybe got a big piece of the mosque for that matter ~ they do bear some responsibility for what they had to say PLUS they have the entire burden of accepting responsibility for the threats and intimidation in the Koran ~ or, I suppose, you could have a bunch of Moslems go into federal court and repudiate the Koran (which would be a real laugh riot).
I don't see the threat ~ the judge should have demanded this puke get a lawyer ~ it's not too late for a civil suit.
My only question is why the federal DoJ was involved, rather than a state legal entity. I know there is a reasonable answer to this question, but initially it seems to me that it should have been handled by the state first.
One year in the slammer for one email.
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
On, please.
I like that picture.
Agreed. There’s got to be more!??!
if he was standing outside shouting at the Imam that calumny was coming down on his head, that might have stirred state law enforcement.
As it is this isn't much of a threat ~ more of an ill-worded prophetic prediction.
That's why we all get the queasy feeling that this puke was railroaded ~ and the judge should not have allowed that.
It's not that the guy was involved in "hate speech" ~ more like he committed that ultimate crime of "bad grammar". Wouldn't even have taken a good lawyer to get him off.
Thanks combat_boots.
