The idea is probably to get Republicans on record voting against middle class tax cuts. It is ultimately a stupid tactic and the uncertainty it creates is part of the reason the economy is stalled.

The libs are truly mad to think that an extra 10% or even 20% tax on 315,000 people can magically solve the financial woes of the government, or support 50 million people on government assistance. Pelosi is doing everything she can to avoid passing a budget this year, and, in January, will be the first to howl that we have no budget. In the meantime, keep an eye on the home mortgage deduction.
