Unfortunately, it's perpetuated by blogs like this one, even when the video is posted and it's clear she got the numbers wrong:

Delaware is not a fair predictor of any Republican's chances nationwide.

Are you even following your own comments on this thread?

You said that Palin would "get the overwhelming majority of those fed-up Independent voters" (with no factual evidence). r9etb replied "that's what Christine O'Donnell's supporters claimed, too", which presumed that they were similar situations. You then replied that O'Donnell did win a majority of independent voters, which implied/presumed that there was a correlation (in your favor). O'Donnell didn't win a majority of Independents, as OldDeckhand pointed out, and you have no leg to stand on.

You missed the point, unless you’re just trolling again. Any candidate will need Independents (and moderates) to win nationally.

I was around for Reagan and Palin is Reagan in High Heels! But she is better looking, Reagan was not in his prime.

Palin is quicker in getting her words out than any politician in the last 50 years, this is a sign she says what she believes!

Finally, someone who tells the Truth!

Some people seems to think a woman can’t run this country, that’s another reason why she needs to be the first woman President!

She would do a lot to hurt the men having sex with men lifestyle,

Normal would be back in again!

That’s probably the biggest reason that the anti Palin freepers keeping spurring out all the same negatives Reagan lived with, yes, our token liberal democrat Trolls and with their sick lifestyle)!

_____________

No, but she will need “purple” states (PA, OH, FL, etc.) that swing from blue to red and back.

Any candidate will need Independents (and moderates) to win nationally.

Nationwide in 2010, Palin and the TEA Party candidates did get these independents.

O’ Donnell only lost indies by 3%. In Delaware, where indies are going to tilt left by nature of the state.

It’s true that Palin or any candidate (D or R) needs indies, but you really have to look at indies on a STATE level.

So she loses indies in NY and CA, who cares? She’s going to lose those states anyway.

If she loses indies in FL, OH, PA...then she has a problem.

“The poll suggests Palin might be able to win the nomination. But among independents — they could be the deciding factor in the general election — just 43 percent hold a favorable view of Palin, compared with 61 percent with a positive view of Obama.

And with half of independents viewing Palin unfavorably, she would have to work hard to persuade a majority of voters to back her.”

"The majority of Republins are in her base! "

The majority of "Republins" were with McCain, Dole and HW Bush too. How did that turn out?

National elections are decided by moderate swing voters. That's why they're described as "swing" voters - they swing elections. If you don't win the moderate vote, you don't win. This isn't my opinion, it's simple math. You seem like a simple guy, I'm sure you can understand that.

PPP's latest poll in Missouri (a state that McCain carried in a year as bad as 2008) has Palin being viewed UNFAVORABLY by 71% of the moderates. For people in Rio Linda, that's damn-near 3/4 of all moderate voters that think unfavorably of Sarah Palin. That's bad, and that's not a path to victory.

I can hardly wait to read your single-sentence, monosyllabic response, where you probably accuse me of being a homosexual, or something worse - as you've done to a few others on this thread. You entertain me, but not in the good way.

The problem for Governor Palin is the antithesis of the GOP mantra for the last years, since 1988: The GOP elite do not want the base to lock arms behind her candidacy, propelling it wildly forward. The Palin issue with the GOP is not the base - it is the elite, who believe themselves above pedestrian concerns such as earning a living.

F them all, IMO. F then all.
