S.510 “Hitched” A Ride On Massive Budget Bill, 1984 Is Here
theintelhub.com ^ | 12-9-2010 | Alex

Democrats passed a massive budget bill late Wednesday night. The bill narrowly passed by a 212-206 vote.

“A widely backed food safety bill is hitching a ride on the legislation. The measure passed the Senate by a 73-25 vote last week but got caught in a snag because it contained revenue provisions that, under the Constitution, must originate in the House.” Yahoo News

That’s right, S.510 has apparently HITCHED a ride on the budget bill that was passed during a late night session. Our food freedom has possibly been destroyed by the lame duck congress and their big agriculture masters.

Snip

Natural Solutions Foundation:

Natural Solutions Foundation Was There: We Saw The House Vote 212 to 205 (WITH NOT A SINGLE REPUBLICAN VOTING FOR THE BILL) When the House Shamefully Attached S510′s language to HR 3082.

Why is their act shameful? Two reasons. First, the contents of S. 510 is anti-health, anti-supplements, anti-freedom, anti-small business and anti-clean food to say nothing of anti-sense. Second, the regulatory language of S. 510 should never have been attached to a Continuing Resolution, which is an administrative bill allowing the government of the United States to continue its activities by funding it.

This tactic shows how desperate the Uber Cartel is to have this measure pass. Think about that for a moment: apparently it is vitally important to the Uber Cartel, which makes, among other things, drugs, vaccines, agro-chemicals, GMOs and which grows food, to make sure that you do not have the choice to grow or eat clean food. The reasons for that present themselves quite rapidly, don’t they? Clean food = bad customers for Big Pharma. Poisoned food = great customers. And then there is the subtext of genocide.

Please help us stop S.510 as a tack-on via HR 1755 to HR 3082.

1. Take Action NOW for each member of your household to tell your Senators that you STONGLY OPPOSE adopting the language of S. 510 in this or any other amendment or bill:

http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/568/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=5303

2. Visit http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm, enter your State to find your Senators’ names and phone numbers. CALL THEM! Yes, the line may be busy. Keep trying. Give the person who answers this message:

“I am calling to strongly opposed adopting the language of S. 510, the so-called Food Safety Modernization Act. This language is currently attached to ‘CR/Food Safety House Amendment to the Senate Amendment to H.R. 3082 – Full-Year Continuing Appropriations Act, 2011/FDA Food Safety Modernization Act’ which has been sent to the Senate. I urge Senator [name] in the strongest possible terms to vote against this dangerous, unnecessary and expensive amendment and to oppose this language in any bill or amendment.”

The phone lines may be busy. Keep trying. This is literally an 11th hour attempt by Big Agribiz to control every bite you eat, and make sure it is to their liking, not yours.

This is crazy! There should be a way to negate all lame-duck-passed legislation as being against the will of the people. Better yet, this should be the last of these lame duck sessions. In a modern world, there is absolutely no reason for them.

This onerous bill has Senator Richard Burr’s (R-NC) finger prints all over it as well. I wrote the bugger a letter in protest of this move to grow the government through an already corrupt FDA after receiving the following:

“One issue the Senate did vote on this week was the food safety bill. Our nation’s food safety system was designed over a century ago and was appropriate for a world in which most of our food was grown and processed domestically. Recent outbreaks of food-borne illness and nationwide recalls of contaminated food from both domestic and foreign sources highlight the need to modernize and strengthen our food safety system. This bill improves our capacity to prevent, detect, and respond to food-borne outbreaks and illnesses and increases safety standards on food imported from other countries. I joined a bipartisan group of Senators to help shape the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act so that I could be sure it worked for North Carolina, improved the safety of our food supply, and included protections for small farms and producers from onerous regulation. To read a summary and full text of the bill click here.

I have heard from many North Carolinians concerned that the bill will grant the FDA broader authority to regulate small, family farms. This is simply not true. The fact of the matter is if farms weren’t required to register with the FDA prior to this bill, they will not have to register as a result of this bill. I encourage you to visit this page on my website that addresses many of these areas of concern and sets the record straight on what this bill means for farms and businesses.”

I am truly sorry that I mistook this clown for a conservative and voted for his re-election.

I am going to bring this up at the local co-op meeting. The libs at that place (way lefty) are strongly opposed to this, and I would like to see their reaction when I tell them that not one Republican in the House voted for this.

FWIW, I e-mailed Senator Amy Klobuchar about S.510, using what I thought would be a lefty appeal that this would hurt local organic farmers in Minnesota (many of them liberal constituents.). Did no good, I am allegedly against “food safety” (emotional ad hominem attack, even if buried in the bland language of a “form letter”) and both Klobuchar and the Frankenfraud voted for S.510. The owner of the Birchwood Cafe really needs to take down the photos of those two senators.

Yet another example of the elites telling us “We know what’s best for you, even if it is a dog turd on a dinner plate. Just shut up and take it, and you will like it.”

This is crazy! There should be a way to negate all lame-duck-passed legislation as being against the will of the people.

An Amendment to the Twentieth Amendment is needed ASAP to limit the powers of the Lame Duck Congress and Presidency during the lame duck session.

Sample language could be as simple as:

"During the time period beginning on the day after elections for members of Congress or the office of the President and Vice President, which occur on the first Tuesday in November, and ending on either January 3rd for Congressional elections or January 20 for Presidential elections in the following year, no legislation will become law unless it is determined that such legislation is declared a national emergency. In order for a national emergency to be declared, a YEA vote of 3/4 of the Governors of the states is required."

It seems to me this would also be an easy way to control large populations. Access to food could be withheld as punishment, or compounds could be introduced through food to control fertility without the knowledge of the people.

The time will come in the very near future when folks will have to make up their minds individually how they are going to respond to these abuses of our rights and privileges. I have a feeling that this country is not going to be cleansed by the ballot process.

What else is new? These asshats (LIBs & RINOs) hate freedom, hate America and hate you. Give them no quarter in anything. Vote them out. Let them know how you think at every opportunity. Give them no money. Take back America from these totalitarian losers. As this unfolds, you will know what you need to do.

S510 was bound to pass - WalMart - the nation’s largest retailer is fully behind it. I got an email from them (not sure how they even got my email address) a week or so ago encouraging me to contact my Senators to support this bill...

They say it is about “food safety”... It is not. It is about controlling/shutting down small operations (what has WalMart been doing for the last 20 years?).

WalMart has been systematically destroying small US businesses - from predatory practices (selling under cost to force small competitors out of business) to forcing their wholesalers to consolidate sourcing - which has also put many US small businesses under.
