Joy Behar, Narnia Numbskull
NewsBusters ^ | 12/11/10 | Tim Graham

On Thursday's edition of The View, Joy Behar displayed how little she knows Sarah Palin's favorite authors. As they discussed Palin's answer to Barbara Walters asking what she reads, and Walters said Palin reads C.S. Lewis for "divine inspiration," Behar asked "Aren't those children's books?" She wasn't joking, but she obviously liked the idea that Palin wasn't smart enough to read "adult books." The Narnia books aren't exactly Dr. Seuss. Behar isn't educated enough to know about his classic works of nonfiction in Christian apologetics, like Mere Christianity and The Screwtape Letters.

Joy is just mad because Whoopi took back her crayons before she finished her Narnia coloring book...

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: He wrote some children’s, but he wrote some good adult books.

Giving WHOOPI some credit

From Wikipedia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joy_Behar

Behar holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Queens College (class of 1964), and a Master of Arts degree in English education from the State University of New York at Stony Brook (class of 1966). She taught English in the late 1960s and early 1970s at Lindenhurst High School on Long Island, New York, during the same time that Pat Benatar was a student there; however, they did not meet until years later. Behar was raised Catholic but considers herself agnostic.[10] She resides in Manhattan.

Joy To Be Hard only wishes she was as smart as Sarah.

Behar wouldn’t understand it, and any presentation would be a farce, as the woman is about as interesting as a frog.

How could someone such as Behar know anything about C.S. Lewis? You would have to be interested in Christianity or ethics to know anything about his major writings. Lewis tried on many occasions to write books that would appeal to the common man, but Behar is so ignorant that even these books would be beyond her intellect.

If I’m Catholic, I am awfully glad she identifies as agnostic. And I’ll give her some credit here. She’s more honest about it than Pelosi, Durbin, Kerry, et al.

Interestingly Baba Wawa interviewed Sarah recently asking about what books she read — Palin mentioned Mark Levin’s “Liberty and Tyranny” but this was edited out of the interview. This according to Mark Levin, who says it was because Baba Wawa holds a grudge against him for speaking ill of The View and the “Yentas” on the show.

Agreed. Behar is a nimrod. I doubt that she could even understand the C.S. Lewis writings directed at children. Most libtards can’t.

How about Till We Have Faces, The Abolition of Man, or The Space Trilogy?

Joy Behar should just stick to reading her palm.

These stories by C. S. Lewis were allegorical. That simply means that they have a symbolic relationship and, in the case of the Narnia stories, the symbolic relationship is to the Christ. The lion is the Christ figure but I seriously doubt that Behar is capable of understanding that and if you attempted to explain it to her, all you’d get is a smart-ass off the cuff remark.

What, if she is a lapsed Catholic, and on top of that, an English school teacher, she is all but busted. She cannot plead ignorance. What am I missing.

Hate is all consuming. When Joyless hears those two words “Sarah Palin” there is nothing else in her but deaf, dumb and blind hatred.

I grew up during the same time and in the same geographical area as Joyless. Queens College and Stony Brook were perfectly adequate city and state schools but not exactly cream of the crop. It’s where us middle/working-class kids could go to get an affordable college education ... in the case of Queens College, most while lived at home and commuted by subway. So, for Joyless to join in on the “Sarah Palin is stupid because she didn’t go to Ivy League schools” meme is disgusting.

I come to the conclusions that SP is the girl JB grew up wanting to be: pretty (a beauty queen no less), wholesome, now happily married with a beautiful family. Why wouldn’t a hate-filled person despise her?
