The Pulitzer Prize winning fact-checking organization PolitiFact gained national media attention Friday with its claim that its Lie of the Year was that Obamacare was a government takeover.
The phrase is simply not true, PolitiFact wrote.
PolitiFact is a project of the St. Petersburg Times and claims that it tracks truth in politics. The fact-checking is done by the newspapers reporters and researchers.
But the newspapers ability to judge truthfulness has been questioned. Fox News commentator Bill OReilly lists the St. Petersburg Times as one of just11 news organizations in the country in his Hall of Shame for distributing defamatory, false or non-newsworthy information supplied by far left websites.
PoltiFact Reporters Bill Adair and Angie Drobnic Holan didnt respond to e-mails seeking comment.

‘The government regulates the industry, so much that the private sector becomes the governments pawn. In the sense of this second interpretation, the government is most certainly taking over”
ObamaCare is Fascism at it very core.
Apparently it is only a “take over” to the liberals if the government cuts out there being any vestige of the free enterprise system AT ALL. Which is of course their desired goal.
obamacare is the LIE!
The St Petersburg Times is so far left Politifact can’t be trusted.
I remember they were hyper over Palin talking about “death panels”.
We all know Obamacare is bringing death panels. As every lib newspaper admits, when the government is mandating health care it HAS to ration supply. Only the free market gives people health care freedom.
No. It is a LIE to say that its NOT a government takeover.
Hell no. As a matter of fact, "0bamaCare is a government takeover of health care" is usually my lead sentence in most arguments I have on that subject.
If they won the Pulitzer prize, they can’t be very credible. The Pulitzer is just another Commie of the Month award that the commie libs give to each other.
