If anyone can cut the size of government, completely replace the tax system (including getting rid of the 16th Amendment, doing away with payroll taxes, etc.), restore our military and our nation’s values under God, President Sarah Palin can.

The Christmas gift of a lifetime.

I guess I'm Guilty of Comparing Reagan with Palin, but who in the Republican Party alive now can compare with Palin,(Mitt,Huck,GinRich, and all the other church mice)

When comparing Vince Lombardi you have to go back in time!

It's not fair to today's GOP wannabes to be compared to Reagan!

Trying to to make the Fight fair!

Palin 2012! AND SHE CAN BE COMPARED WITH REAGAN AND STACKS UP WELL!

factmart has been here for nearly 10 years. He probably isn’t a troll but just a nitwit.

Yeah, he probably isn’t a real troll, but an “ignorance troll”, but it is pretty weird that he can’t be brought to see the stupidity of threads like this, his intransigence when allies are calling for him to call off this Palin versus Reagan ugliness is reminiscent of a suicide bomber accidentally attacking his own Mosque.

This is a bad statement. You should really ask to have this thread deleted. It's a bait thread, trying to pit us against each other.

And what the heck if GFYS?

I like Sarah Palin for President for a number of reasons:

She is charismatic, not a charge that could be laid at the feet of Romney or Pawlenty.

She is conservative. No one even comes close.

She is willing to take on established interests (the ruling elite) and beat them at their own game.

I don’t think any one is crazy enough to mess with her. I’m looking at you NK and Iran).

In sum, she is a great package that is going to be very difficult to beat. If Obama contines on his current path he is going to lose 48 states.

Romney won three states in the primary last time. I see nothing so far that would lead to more states won. I am also very nervous over a Northeasterner running for President as none of them “get” the heartland at all.

Pawlenty has a bad voice and no face recognition. I wouldn’t recognize him on the street.

Jindal is not going to run this time.

Chris Christie is not going to run. Maybe later.

Perry is a possibility. He is going to p!ss off a large number of the right people over the next two years. We need to watch him.

We have a number of other people who are not governors and I am very nervous about running a non governor for President.

Dole and McCain were not governors and both seemed to be out of touch with the electorate. Two of the absolutely worst campaigns that I have ever seen.

Scott? Future. Haley? Future.

Actually I think the real problem is we split our conservative vote between too many candidates, and the establishment RINO then wins by a plurality.

It happens every election cycle; we all get fired up about different conservatives, and then start bickering back and forth about who is “more’ conservative, strengthening our resolve to ‘not compromise’ our ‘principles’.

All the while the establishment candidate is racking up delegates and moving toward the nomination.

See: Nixon, Ford, Bush, Dole, Bush, McCain, and now Romney.

I am sick of the RINO parade and would really like a real conservative this time.

I honestly think we need to come together early behind a single conservative and keep our conservative base strong and united.

This will be very hard to do with the various factions of conservatives.

To me that candidate is Sarah Palin, but if we split our votes and dilute our power, we will hand the nomination to the establishment RINO, just as we did in 2008.

I’m thinking a vote in the primaries for anyone but Sarah is a defacto vote for Romney.

I’ve been a Palin supporter for some time and seeing her commentary on Fox News and watching her going through the never-ending battles with the media have only convinced me that, today, she is the best hope for the Republican party in 2012 (as the presidential nominee). I have absolutely no interest in RINOs like Romney and Huckabee and, like you, I can remember Reagan in 1979-80 getting the same kind of flack from the GOP hierarchy along with the usual derision from the left; “stupid, over the hill B-movie actor, senile, a puppet for smart but diabolical puppet masters that give him a scrip to read” and, my favorite: “you can’t be serious...an ACTOR as president!

The left-wing mocking and ridicule intended to destroy Reagan’s credibility as a potential president was intense but ultimately failed, big-time. As I’ve stated before, Palin isn’t Reagan (and this isn’t 1980) but she is a principled conservative, has executive experience, is grounded, resilient and has charisma to spare, just as Reagan did in his time. The usual Democrat head-fake of pretending that they really, really want the GOP to nominate Sarah Palin because she’s sooooo ‘easy to beat’ is hardly convincing because it simply indicates what Republican politician the left really fears. Thanks for the heads-up, Democrats.

I would happily cast my vote for Sarah Palin in my state’s Republican primary and be delighted to vote for her in the presidential election in 2012. I truly believe Sarah Palin would be a great president and I have full confidence that she could easily beat Obama. That some FReepers still sneer at Palin and act disdainful toward those who endorse her are unfortunate but part of an open forum that has to allow more than one point of view on specific issues, especially potential Republican Party presidential candidates. I’m just a bit disappointed that a thread that clearly and specifically asked for Palin supporters only still draws anti-Palin posts. However, we all make our choices and I chose Sarah Palin as ‘my’ candidate for president on the Republican ticket in November, 2012.

I’m in! Go Sarah!!

This lady has more stones than some of our supposed “Men” in the conservative movement.

Good grief, the defeatist threads that I’m beginning to see more and more of on FR is not a good sign! No offense to you good ladies, but how is it that women like Sarah, and Michelle Bachman have more stones and enthusiasm for victory than our “Men?”

I swear, I’ve gone to a few threads today, where guys are posting the most pathetic, defeatist crap I’ve ever read!

But I digress. I will do whatever it takes to elect Sarah should she decide to run!

Lets also make solemn pledge: “We will not abandon her like many others have, due to lies that the media continually repeat about her! We will reject the Media and the Socialists, NOT Sarah!”

Lets also do whatever we can to help destroy the MSM. We have phone cameras, we have the power of the internet. Lets make it our goal to destroy the corrupt institution known as the Mainstream Media!

I agree. I like Palin. I think she has the potential to be a great President.

Some suggest that she is an intellectual lightweight. I disagree. I read her book, and her track record is far stronger than is generally acknowledged. (By the way - please read “Going Rogue”, by Palin.)

I think she has the ability to lead, the ability to understand people, to work with and through others - and that is an essential skill in a President. Notice that Reagan had that same quality.

Is Sarah a blue-blood? No, I suppose not. But she is a good, red-blooded American. I think she would make us - FReepers and Americans - very proud as a President.

Count me among her supporters.
