Which the homosexuals will no longer be able to avoid because of their homosexuality. No more kiss the psychiatrist and a quick 4-F! Instead, it will be kiss the psychiatrist and they are in the infantry, the most dangerous MOS. Off to the combat zone and then a pine box. But they might just make it a fabulously decorated pine box.
Be careful what you wish for - you may just get it.
Navy salute! Thank you for serving. I hope the Navy and the Corps can survive this Obomination.
Everything Obama does is designed to weaken us... this is no different.
I have worked with gay folk in the military before. They were lebs and they kept to themselves, did a good job and so no hassle - if you know what I mean.
In a tour in remote part of the RoK, we had a woman try to commit suicide - cut her wrists. Seems her roomie was gay and hit on her day and night till she took what she saw was the only way out.
The CO knew what was going on but did nada (he was all but worthless overall) and so was canned, but by then it was too late. In a male barracks, a gay guy likely would have been found - beat senseless/DoA someplace off-base.
So, ya, I sure as hell would not be willing to share a barracks room with one.
As a civilian, I've worked with gays, I mean openly gay, drama Queen types. (shrug) They do their job, I do mine and go home at the end of the day - no problem. What they do off the job is none of my business, eh?
Then again, I hated when the guys brought their hookers in to the barracks to use the showers - while I was there showering.
In the end, we agreed on ‘hooker-free’ hours/days - so I suppose something could be worked out for the few places left with cattle car accommodations - there are a few.
The military - at least while I was active - put a premium on folks working things out peacefully, all kinds of issues - a good NCO has to be in part, a good negotiator.
I got out when little Billy Klinton took over, though I could have stayed several more years. Glad I left when I did.
Just IMO, since I have no dog in this fight, I'll let the active guys figure what they are willing to accept - or not.
No problem, FRiend. BTW- I agree with your post #11. I wouldn’t want to see the return of the draft either. IMO- the military needs to remain a volunteer force, not one where the unwilling are forced to serve.
I think a lot of people who would not serve voluntarily would not serve if there were a draft either. Because of this change in policy our Church counselors are advising our young men and women not to serve.
No young man in our Church would submit to a military commander that is a sodomite and should not submit.
It’s not like the civilian world where you can just leave and find another job. In the military you are forced to accept the officer in authority over you.
Sad, we are losing the best.
It is a matter of temperament I guess you would say. I just haven't met any gays (admittedly a very small number to sample from) - but they just didn't strike me as someone that would make a successful NCO.
Can't say for Officers, the ones I worked with 1v1 were fighter pilots in a FAC outfit - otherwise, I was pretty much able to keep my distance. Just for the record, I walked away from a E-9 stripe and retired. The military had become just too.....much. Too much PC, too much politics, too much BS - well, you know, you've been there, I would hazard to say.
I know and I take no pleasure in it. America, is on it's way down i am afraid. This is what happens when too many liberals and RINOs have power for too long.
You can say that about any Statest. Talk a good talk, silence opposition and don't deliver on promises. The Miltary and the Elderly are their current targets, The jackboots already got the schools.
Why the heck didn't she tell her supervisor about it? And if he/she didn't do something about it... go up the chain? If it had to go to the CO, then the whole d@mn chain of command failed her, not just the commander.
Half of the dang problems are simply caused because the Sailor/Soldier/Airman/Marine didn't speak up about them.
the army takes care of their own if you know what i mean.
I pray the same!
I became aware of it when the medics took her out in the C-9. This was before my time working as a medic.
Word was (FWIW) that she had gone directly to the CO (very small American contingent on a RoK base) and complained. And got nowhere. The CO was a stone waste of O2 - how he lasted as long as he did is still a wonder to me, all these years later.
A ran across a lot of ‘duds’ in my active time - you know the 15 year E5 types. From what I see now, just as glad to be out.
My son passed on re-enlisting in the Corps because of “all the silliness” when a hard-charger (former FAST team member) sees the Corps as ‘silly’ in too many areas, maybe things have gotten worse than I had imagined.
The next few years will be interesting - in the Chinese curse sort of interesting...
This wouldn’t have been in Daegu (Taegu) would it? I’ve spent 6 out of the last 14 years of service in South Korea (3 at Osan, 3 at Yongsan - detailed to a ROK base, though).
I’ve seen my share of worthless NCOs and officers. But in this case, there’s a chance I might have actually run across the lady at some point. (That is, if it was since 1999 - as that was when I finally exited training and went off to my first duty assignment)
