Juan Williams: Palin can't stand on intellectual stage with Obama

While appearing on Fox News Sunday, Juan Williams slammed Sarah Palin's intelligence.

"There's nobody out there, except for Sarah Palin, who can absolutely dominate the stage, and she can't stand on the intellectual stage with Obama," Williams said.

Since becoming John McCain's Vice-Presidential running mate, the left has repeatedly used this line of attack. In fact, a Google search on the term "Sarah Palin is stupid" returns over 67 million results.

Apparently, the prospect of Sarah Palin running for President in 2012 has liberals doing everything they can to denigrate the former Alaska Governor before the primary even begins.

Has Sarah Palin made mistakes? Sure. She is, after all, a human being - contrary to what liberals would have us believe.

But compare her mis-steps to the man Newsweek once called "God of All Things".

Conservative columnist Michelle Malkin listed several gaffes Obama made during the 2008 election. Among those gaffes:

* Last May, he claimed that Kansas tornadoes killed a whopping 10,000 people: “In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died — an entire town destroyed.” The actual death toll: 12.

*Earlier this month in Oregon, he redrew the map of the United States: “Over the last 15 months, we’ve traveled to every corner of the United States. I’ve now been in 57 states? I think one left to go.”

In 2009, John Hawkins spelled out ten of the young Administrations biggest mistakes to that point, including:

I’ve always thought Juan Williams was a dufus. Now it is confirmed.

Two years ago a plumber in Ohio, who happened to run into Obama while on a Sunday walk, wound up making the annointed one look like an absolute fool. Joe the plumber walked intellectual circles around the former Harvard Review editor. By the way, Ohio is our 57th state.

Frankly, if Juan Williams weren’t a minority, he would not have been hired as whatever he is....reporter? columnist? token?.....he’s an intellectual lightweight himself - just not an openly rabid liberal as usually seen in the leftist media.

Thanks. He is very arrogant. He is also handicapped by his beliefs in failed doctrines which include the idea that government is the solution.

Obama’s intellect is staged, all right.

Juan Williams couldn't find his ass with both hands and a map. He is the FOX in the henhouse over at Fox news, and his mere appearance on any show there causes a rapid reflex respose in my thumb as I hit the remote to change the channel.

It's funny that FOX brought him in from NPR as a "guest" with an "opposing view", and now since he boo-hooed on national TV about npr canning his butt, he gets picked up by FOX and his guest opinion is now the fox opinion.

Juan is a front row apologist for barack obama, I think he has a man-crush on him...or maybe it's just a plain crush.

Williams - FOX Reporter; PALIN - Fox reporter... He goes on another show and slams Palin, NPR would have fired him for being a traitor if he had done that with one of their favorites.

But here's what...let's don't listen to Juan, let's just wait until the 2012 elections and see what happens. Put her on the debate platform with a fair moderator and no teleprompters, and obama had better bring a change of Depends.

Regardless of what the media puppets say, obama is not an intelligent person; oh he has a line of B.S. a mile long, and he's learned to drop buzz words, but most of his pandering is community organizer style, aimed at blacks with promises of sugar plums intertwined with some hate-whitey innuendoes.

Sarah Plain has been asked every hard question in the book, and attacked seven ways from sundown, and she's still going strong; obama hasn't beeen asked a hard question during his entire political life...he's shielded.

Juan is black first, and American second, and that summarizes what is wrong with America right there.

What education would that be? What (documented) degrees does he hold and from where? What were his (documented) grades in said schools?

High School:
Punahou School
Honolulu, HI
Graduated in 1979

College:
Occidental College, 2 years, no degree

Columbia University
Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations
Graduated in 1983

Harvard Law
Juris Doctorate (J.D.)
Graduated in 1991, Magna Cum Laude

Of course, those (of you) with an unreasoning, viceral, unthinking hatred of the little tin god will never accept any type of "proof" whatsoever of his educational background or accomplishments in that regard.

However, as I stated before....while he may be better educated than Ms. Palin, it is completely irrelevant.

As Pap used to say, "Book learnin' might prove yer educated; it sure as hell don't prove yer smart!"

Pap knew whereof he spoke!

Barry has spent a lot of time in academia and knows the forms. He has no substance to back it up but edu-speak can sound really smart if you don’t listen too carefully.

Juan, Obama is an ACTOR, NOT an “intellectual”!
His gaffs are covered up by a fawning media.
He has diploma’s unsubstantiated by any transcripts.
He’s the only Law Review President without any shred of a paper trail.
His path to elected office is littered with wounded and smeared opponents, none a serious challenge. (To be clear, this was the work of the Chicago machine, which also displaced the Mafia.)
So, Juan, “intellect” is NOT among Obama’s assets.

Palin can’t stand on intellectual stage with Obama This is true. She would make him look like a fool.......................

Only to her supporters; unfortunately, if she were the nominee, he would very likely defeat her and cruise to a second term;

I hope the GOP nominates someone who defeats Obama as the thought of him replacing one or more of the five conservative SC justices is very troubling, not to mention the other mischief he can cause.

This is very sad....and also very true.

Further, it should sicken one that - unfortunately - it really is all about "packaging".

One can only imagine if Ms. Palin's "charisma", moral strength and conservative principles could be magically shifted into a 48 year old, well educated, extremely well spoken black man!!!

Now THAT would be a race to enjoy for the ages!

Alas and alak!

Thank you for your reasoned reply. I still believe you have fallen to the “appearance” of the reputed Obama intelligence.

A person of intelligence should be able to teach one something. I have learned from the thoughts, insights, and writings of Ronald Reagan and other true thinkers.

I can honestly say I have learned nothing original from the mouth of Barack Obama, and I would like to know what you have learned from this man that you did not know before. In support of your reasoned reply, I have learned nothing new from Sarah Palin either, but at least I trust her and know she loves this country. I am heartened that you realize that too.

I have learned ‘About’ Obama and his anti-colonialial views; but from his own lips I have learned absolutely nothing enlightening, original, or thought provoking.

Nor is he a communicator of ideas. He must dissemble and prevaricate to weasel in his socialist designs. He does not engage in an honest dialogue with the people as Ronald Reagan did and as Palin, in her way via Twitters, does.
At least Palin does her best to remind us of our roots and American pride.

Obama is weak and indecisive and always seems on the defensive in his interviews. He does not strive to convince others that he offers a better way. Those who believe in him do so solely on emotion and faith - not unlike the character Chance in the movie Being There. People see in him what they want to see.

Recently speaker Boehner said Obama was brilliant, Krauthammer said he was very intelligent and now Juan says the same thing. Why? What’s up with all this gushing over Obama’s intelligence? My guess is that it is his weak spot. If he had great marks in school he’d be proud to show them instead of hiding them from public view. He gets his wife to comment on how brilliant he is and you can see the pleasure in Obama’s face. This man is affirmative action material and he is up for flattering. That’s his weak spot. Obama is an actor who wishes he were the real thing and like many actors the world is vanity, vanity vanity...

Like when ...

Yeah, like that. Or like believing this ghost of a person arose out of nowhere, is the greatest orator of all time, is highly intelligent, should be the leader of the world...etc.

Neither is Seann Hannity very bright. But what he lacks in brains he makes up for with carefully applied enthusiasm, family values, and love of his country.

Good point. It's more important to be good than smart.

Not the brightest bulb, are you?

Fox keeps Sean Hannity around to make Juan look smart.
