Federal Judge Sides with Islamic Shariah Law over U.S. Constitution

Did you know that the United States government is using your tax dollars to support Islamic Shariah law in America? Yep. And, a federal judge—playing for the enemy, in my opinion—has just sided against the Constitution and the American people and with the Islamists in upholding the policy.

“Last week, Judge Lawrence P. Zatkoff, a federal district court judge in Michigan, dismissed a constitutional challenge to the U.S. Government‘s bailout of AIG [American International Group], which used over a hundred million dollars in federal tax money to support Islamic religious indoctrination through the funding and promotion of Sharia-compliant financing (SCF). SCF is financing that follows the dictates of Islamic law.

The challenge was brought by the Thomas More Law Center (TMLC), a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and co-counsel David Yerushalmi, on behalf of Kevin Murray, a Marine Corps veteran of the Iraqi War. TMLC filed a notice of appeal immediately after the ruling and will be seeking review of the decision in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of TMLC, commented: ‘Judge Zatkoff’s ruling allows for oil-rich Muslim countries to plant the flag of Islam on American soil. His ruling ignored the uncontested opinions of several Sharia experts and AIG’s own website, which trumpeted Sharia-compliant financing as promoting the law of the Prophet Mohammed and as an ethical product, ‘and a new way of life.’ His ruling ignored AIG’s use of a foreign Islamic advisory board to control investing in accordance with Islamic law.’

Continued Thompson: ‘This astonishing decision allows the federal government as well as AIG and other Wall Street bankers to explicitly promote Sharia law—the 1200-year-old body of Islamic canon law based on the Koran, which demands the destruction of Western Civilization and the United States. This is the same law championed by Osama bin Laden and the Taliban; it is the same law that prompted the 9/11 Islamic terrorist attacks; and it is the same law that is responsible for the murder of thousands of Christians throughout the world. The Law Center will do everything it can to stop Sharia law from rearing its ugly head in America.’”

So, what we have here is yet another American judge siding with the enemies of America and the Obama administration against the Constitution and American citizen taxpayers. Yes, Islam and its pushers are enemies of America. I have heard from leftwing apologists, “Gina, the United States government cannot be at war with a religion.” Well, I have news for all you flaming lefties: Islam is at war with us, whether we acknowledge it or not, and unless we fight the spread of Islamic Shariah law in our country, Islam will prevail, and our Constitution will be subverted, as it is being done in the dismissal of this case. Islam is a militant political ideology covered in religious clothing, and its adherents have declared war on the entire non-Muslim world.

This lawsuit went after the taxpayer money funding of Shariah-compliant financing under the establishment clause of the First Amendment, but I wonder if this could also be argued to be a case of treasonous activity, based on AIG—and by extension the federal government—providing material support to our enemies.

This case involves over 150 million taxpayer dollars used by AIG to promote Shariah law in the United States through their financial products and services. The federal government owns a 79.9 percent stake in AIG; that is much more than a controlling interest. This is such an obvious case of impropriety that it should have been a no-brainer win for the plaintiff, but in the upside-down world of liberalism, the case was thrown out.

When the lawsuit was first filed, the Obama Justice Department asked that the case be dismissed claiming that the plaintiff did not have “standing” to bring the lawsuit, even though as a Christian taxpayer, it is his money being used to promote and spread Shariah law in America. At the time, the court refused the request of the Justice Department and allowed the case to proceed, but then back on January 14^th, the court reversed itself and threw the case out. Now why would the Obama administration defend using taxpayer money to promote Shariah law in the United States? Good question.

“And even if he did have standing, DOJ argued that the use of the bailout money to fund AIG’s operations did not violate the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment. The court disagreed, noting, in relevant part, the following:

In this case, the fact that AIG is largely a secular entity is not dispositive: The question in an as-applied challenge is not whether the entity is of a religious character, but how it spends its grant. The circumstances of this case are historic, and the pressure upon the government to navigate this financial crisis is unfathomable. Times of crisis, however, do not justify departure from the Constitution. In this case, the United States government has a majority interest in AIG. AIG utilizes consolidated financing whereby all funds flow through a single port to support all of its activities, including Sharia-compliant financing. …Finally, after the government acquired a majority interest in AIG and contributed substantial funds to AIG for operational purposes, the government co-sponsored a forum entitled ‘Islamic Finance 101.’ These facts, taken together, raise a question of whether the government’s involvement with AIG has created the effect of promoting religion and sufficiently raise Plaintiff’s claim beyond the speculative level, warranting dismissal inappropriate at this stage in the proceedings.”

For the same judge who made those remarks to turn around and later simply dismiss the case is very interesting, indeed. Perhaps someone caused him to see the “merits” of tossing out the case; after all, there is a boatload of Middle Eastern money on the line here. If American banks refuse to allow Shariah law to infect the American banking system, who knows how many billions of dollars would simply be invested elsewhere by the Islamists? Don’t believe for a minute that these Islamists are so concerned about “purity” in their money matters. Their goal is power with the spread of their detestable Shariah law across the world, and the Shariah-compliant finance scam is part of that campaign.

This case also illustrates the blatant hypocrisy of the left. The Mt. Soledad war memorial was declared unconstitutional for supposedly violating the First Amendment establishment clause, because a Christian cross stands on the land, which is now owned by the federal government, yet there’s no First Amendment problem whatsoever with the federal government using millions of taxpayer dollars, through AIG, to promote Islamic law. It’s sickening! Both of these cases were incorrectly decided by activist judges who would never admit the folly of their decisions, but if we can find honest judges in our land not willing to be intimidated or otherwise influenced by the radical, socialist administration in Washington, then these bad judgments will be reversed.

In commenting on the foul decision by Judge Zatkoff, Thomas More Law Center Senior Trial Counsel, Robert Muise said,

“Based on the incredible amount of evidence presented, much of which DOJ could not refute, and in light of the strength of the court’s prior ruling, we expected the court to ultimately rule in our favor and hold that the federal government violated the U.S. Constitution by using federal tax money to fund Islamic religious activities. As soon as we read the court’s adverse opinion, we filed an immediate appeal.

…Apparently, the court does not believe that the federal government violates the U.S. Constitution when it provides $153 million in taxpayer money to support Islamic religious activities. This is certainly more than the ‘one pence’ James Madison warned about when he helped craft the First Amendment, and I am sure this decision is news for all of the Christian and Jewish organizations and businesses that are prevented from receiving a dime of federal tax money to support their religious activities.”

The Law Center said it will probably take about a year to complete the appeal. In the meantime, we can pray for the Thomas More Law Center and the vital work it does in,

“…the defense and promotion of the religious freedom of Christians, time-honored family values, and the sanctity of human life. It supports a strong national defense and an independent and sovereign United States of America.”

What kind of direction does one expect when the most powerful muslim in the world sits in our White House?

The groups will attend a special workshop presented by the White House and US Government agencies, including Agriculture, Education, Homeland Security, HHS, etc., to provide the groups tax funding, government assistance and resources. "The August 31 workshop will provide special access for the Muslim Brotherhood organizations. We pledge to provide direct access and cut through red tape. I wonder if any of those black people are aware of Islams hand in pushing them into slavery, murdering millions of Africans for the trans Saharan slave trade? I wonder how many who hold a grudge against America and the whiteman are aware of the scope of Islams 14 centuries of slave trade let alone keeping it alive today?
