At issue is the eligibility to hold office. A recent Illinois Supreme Court decision reverses a lower court's ruling, and declares that Rahm Emmanuel's name must be included on ballots for the upcoming mayor's election.
A spokesman for the court explained that the justices have affirmed that those who question Rahm "Dead Fish" Emmanual's residency in Chicago are "nutjobs."
"Chicago is hearth and home to Rahm," affirmed his consigliary, "and Rahm has never left the city." When challenged by right wingers known as "hearthers", who demanded proof of residency, such as utilities receipts or subscriptions with a valid Chicago address, his spokesman replied crisply, "Those documents cannot be released due to privilege considerations. We have, however, released a long form 'Statement of Implied Berth' covering his bass boat, which proves Rahm a resident."
Once of the supreme court justices went further, "I live right next to Rahm, I knew his parents, and I'm not sure he has ever even left his house! All of those pictures purporting to place him in Washington D.C. are photo-shopped counterfeits. I can tell you that I have seen his hearth certificate, and I can personally verify that, even though no one can seem to find any recent utility bills after a thorough search this morning, anyone who tries to twist obvious reality with such a preposterous notion that he hasn't been a continuous resident of Chicago for the last year... is simply irrational."
How about some satire or sarc tags here....
