We have always been at war with Eastasia.
504,000 people dropped out of the work force that month from the previous month. That will alaways lower the unemployment number. No magic to it. just 4th grade math.
The Dept. of Labor is obviously playing vicky vorky with the numbers.
43 million Americans are on food stamps
|
Despite improvements in the economy, this country still has millions of people in distress and a lot more than during the early stages of the recession.
More than 43 million people are getting food stamps, according to the federal governments figures. Compare that to about 33 million in 2009.
Clearly, this raises questions about the strength of the economic recovery. Food stamps, along with extended unemployment benefits and tax cuts, are giving millions of people the ability to spend. But what would the economy look like if government wasnt feeding people and providing them other money to spend? And how much are struggling people going to be able to spend in the consumer economy when food and energy prices are rising sharply?
More become lazy and the “unemployable” rate skyrockets. They must be employable to count in the unemployment rate. There also must be ‘employers’. There are less employers every week as businesses fail. For Obama the unemployment rate will be down to zero when there are no more employers. The unemployable rate is skyrocketing.
Who you gonna believe, your lying eyes or our government reports?
Gubmint math... put numbers in, get the results ya want. Only when you realize it doesn’t have to make sense... does it then begin to make sense.
Awesome news! If we can create 360,000 more,,, we,ll be at 0%!
Yeah, but the Roosevelt Institute (after FDR) claims labor force dropouts are at an all-time high.
No kidding? Most everything coming out of the President's mouth and his ilk is/are Bogus. They all just chatter what sounds good to them, regardless of the Truth?
Now the 0bama regime is telling us that unemployment is only 9%. Again, the only people that actually believe that are his moron supporters (including the MSM). This is far from the truth, but since the campaign is winding up, it sounds much better in a sound bite than the truth - that unemployment is around 20%.
The U-6 number is massaged for the masses. Total BS. According to the BLS the U-3 number, IOW, total unemployed as of January 31, 2011 was 16.1% of the total workforce. I think even that number is generous.....Hoax and chains......
Is actual unemployment 20% ?
and that only 47 million Americans have a full time job and 43 million Americans are on food stamps. ?
It's usually "unexpectedly" around 450,000.
Hasn't been mentioned anywhere I've seen. Just 36,000 new jobs and the number of unemployed drops?!?!?
An average of 720 new jobs per state and the number DROPS!?!
WTF indeed!
Wondering the same thing.
Here is a simpler, logical way to think about it. The unemployment rate went from 9.4% to 9.0% with the addition of 36k jobs, so that would imply that for every 9k jobs added, the rate goes down by .1%, holding everything else equal. So, using basic math, for a 1% drop in the unemployment rate, the economy just needs to add 90k jobs and thus to get the rate down from 9%, to a preposterous 0% full employment, never been reached before level, the economy just needs to add 810k jobs. Ok, sounds simple enough, but here is the part where our minds get blown, according to B(L)S report, there are 13.9MM unemployed people, so if 810k jobs get added (and thus take unemployment to absolute zero, according to our calculations above), well still have 13.1MM people unemployed. Thats right, using the B(L)S math, 13.1MM unemployed people equals a 0% unemployment rate which only makes sense in the land of Make Believe or Art Laffers head. Perhaps its a derivative of the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, well call it the Hildasolis uncertainty principle where the more you know the unemployment rate the less you know the number of unemployed. So just step back from the numbers and think about this for a second (and then step back from that and think about this for a few hours).
I’m getting this strange case of bizarre-o flashback.
Government reports in this country look an awful lot like the stuff that came out of Pravda in the 60’s and 70’s.
And, ironies of all ironies, it appears that one can get more accurate news from Pravda now than from CNN or the networks.
Obama press releases could be translated into Russian, re-dated to the 60s, and be passed off as Politburo press releases of that time.
