Tammy Bruce - Sarah Palin Didn't Say She Supports Go Proud, She Said All Voices Are Welcome
Smart Girl Politics ^ | February 8, 2011 | Timothy Donovan

Tammy lays it all down about what Sarah Palin said and that this isn't all about the Gays but freedom, because with out freedom it doesn't matter if you're straight or gay, I can't put into words all that Tammy said but I do understand freedom and with out it nothing matters.

Based on the comments here, I see little evidence that anyone actually listened to Tammy’s audio.

Tammy didn’t even address the central issue re: GOProud, instead using the same tired leftist tactics, talking of “healthy debate” and having “more important issues.”

federalism is the winning move in my book. As far as Huck’s winning move? i don't know. If he was going after the social conservatives he probably should have been a little more attacking the homosexual lifestyle than saying it's their business even Gov Palin didn't go as far as Huck. she framed it as a free speech issue. Huck seemed to frame it as a none of the his business issue.

Tammy Bruce is a pro-choice lesbian Republican so she can certainly attest that all voices are welcome in the GOP. I think she fits in better than the Ron Paul crowd (who behaved atrociously today). If GOProud goes they need to take the Paulites with them.

GOProud are behaving exactly like liberal gays by forcing their minority position on the majority through guilt. Doesn't work well with conservatives. We're immune. Perhaps CPAC should change their name to GOPAC.

Michele Bachmann was very strong in support of all 3 legs of the stool. Unequivocal, in fact. This is not about gays, it's about the old guard vs. the Tea Party. No doubt in my mind who's going to come out on top.

Why does a private citizen in Alaska who’s not running for any office owe you an explanation on anything? Or did she declare while I was eating dinner?

I see. Mrs Palin can have her own PAC, use her influence to convince voters to support the candidates of her choice, opine on various news shows, compose op-eds for newspapers and write articles for magazines...but ask her a question? How DARE anyone be so bold as to do that!

By the way, genius, where is it fecking written that a person has to formally declare before they are compelled to answer questions about their position on any certain policy?

“Sarah Palin didn’y say she SUPPORTS go-proud, she said all voices are welcome.”

What’s the difference?

Oh, I see, that clears every thing up............

What are gays, who believe in conservatism, supposed to do? Do we declare that if you're gay you're automatically a Democrat and you can't vote for our guys?

I think where they get it wrong is by forming an independent organization based on the kind of sex they have. That seems weird to me.

>>>What does “All voices” mean??<<<

All are free to voice an opinion. But there’s no guarantee it will be heard, or taken seriously based on merit.

Stick your sarcasm up your arse. I know you fancy yourself as a type of political solon but believe me, you are anything but. You feckers plaster this site with article after article on Palin or her family and then when someone dares asks why she doesn't (unambiguously) state her position on a given issue you raise the disingenuous notion that she's not a candidate, despite your daily, or even hourly, exclamations that she is the *only* one who can bring America back from the brink of death.

I sure do hope that if she does become a candidate you feckers remain situated behind a keyboard and don't attempt to convince people face-to-face to support Palin. You, et al, have submitted enough that one can be assured that your real confidence in Palin is superficial. If it were genuine, (like the caveman's), you'd never protest to the idea of her stating exactly where she stands. Whether, or not, she is a "private citizen".
You like comparing her to Reagan, well when he was a "private citizen" he made it clear where he stood on every fecking issue. People already knew Reagan's position on any issue before he became a candidate for POTUS.

I'd suggest, (though know it's futile), that you treat Mrs Palin as a person rather than a demi-God(ess).

Good point. My point is where do you draw the big tent line?
NAMBLA? Bestiality? Pornographers for conservative values?
Go Proud wants social conservatives out of the party. Nice people?

I’m not the one who keeps posting 2nd-hand sources trying to explain stuff that could be easily answered if Sarah wanted us to know. If Palin wants you to understand exactly what her position is on an issue, she will tell you. We know she has no problem speaking her mind — she wrote two books, and did a highly acclaimed reality show, and has a regular appearance on Fox, as well as a twitter and facebook account, and reporters scrambling to report anything she says.

But some people don’t want to wait for her to announce her positions, I guess, because they find it more interesting to read the tea leaves, or play detective or something.

I don’t know. Did someone post a thread asking some 3rd-party pundit to explain Bachmann’s position?

If Bachmann wants to let us know her position on an issue, she is certainly capable of telling us. Fortunately for Bachmann, her supporters don’t seem quite as interested in trying to create positions for her by quoting 2nd-hand sources and reading into everything she says.
