A Female Marine Talks About DADT
The Aged P.com ^ | 25/02/11 | A J Kelshiker

I was a Marine for eight years. I spent those years fixing navigation systems, and teaching other Marines how to fix navigation systems. If we messed up, planes would crash, and people would die. When we joined the military, we took an oath to uphold and protect the Constitution of the United States, and we gave up many of our Constitutional rights.

No big deal. It's just a thoughtful well written article written by a former WM giving real world insight into the problems created by normalizing sodomy in the armed services.

Didn't the Gallup poll, or some such, tell us that service members thought pederasty was just peachy keen?

Interesting read.

From the article:

“... The other gay girls had affairs with each other in the barracks, and “hit” on other girls in the barracks. This really freaked out some of the Marines. We were all very young, and inexperienced in these types of situations.

It was very disruptive, and very distracting. It hurt military cohesion. Since the girls who were trouble makers knew they could be thrown out of the military, they were somewhat careful not to over-step certain limits on their behavior.

If gay behavior in the military is permitted, there will not be any reprimand for this type of behavior. In situations of war, or other stressful situations our young men and women in uniform are subject to, this will only add more complexity to an already difficult situation.”

To those with “link” problems; I had no problem accessing the main article.

Well written, and makes me rethink my own position on this issue. For the record I am definitely heterosexual.

Note to FReepers: Top link by the dateline does not work. You have to hit the bottom link that says “read more” to access the article.

Sounds about right.

When I was in the WM’s complained about the gay WM’s causing problems...

Sounds like the obamination gave the poachers the green light to go hunting on the reservation.

This Marine hit the nail right on the head. If there is no restriction on this type of behavior, unit cohesion will break down, PERIOD! This behavior, whether the idiots in the White House like it or not, will rot the military out from the inside, which is probably their long term goal.

This alone will open the flood gates for gay marriage in every State. Soldiers will marry in States that allow it and get assigned in States that don’t. They will demand equal protection equating their hardship as exactly like that of blacks when the military desegregated.

The UCMJ will be changed to allow consensual sodomy among adults. All base functions will be authorized for same sex couples. Housing, day care, chapel, everything will be available for them. Full legal rights will be conferred and you better not get in the way or your career is over.

Next will be the transgendered folks.

Has then been any talk about the end of DADT and future drafts? Does this mean that gays no longer have an “out” when there’s a draft? In the past, I think many gays might have been too in the closet to admit “I am a homosexual” to get out of the draft. These days, I don’t think any would have that problem - but with the end of DADT, does that mean that “I am a homosexual” will receive the reply, “Great! You’re on combat duty” - and is that what gays wanted?

Already knew all that gay-girl stuff from back when I was in the Reagan Army, the one the Commies feared. Lotsa dykes, lots of 'em decent soldiers. Often very manly and self-confident. But here's the part that makes me doubt:

My two Marine roomies and I helped each other cram as much stuff into our four closets as possible, so our room could pass inspection that day. Our shared room was about twelve-feet-by-eight-feet. We shared that room for almost two years.

We marched to school, and spent eight hours a day there studying electronics, and avionics. Our uniforms were inspected, and our boots had to shine.

Closets in a barracks room? And hiding stuff in those closets for inspection?!? The closets weren't inspected? And the boots... What any average Marine knows about shining boots wouldn't half-fill a Kiwi can lid. The Marines on our all-services-included Signal training base shined, if you could call it that, their boots with Hershey bars and issue-OD green wool socks.
