Progressivism Has Been “Outed”

Many Americans, perhaps for the first time in their lives, are beginning to recognize the contemptible nature of progressivism. How does one defend the total abandonment of the democratic process, occurring first in Wisconsin and then in Indiana, where Democrats legislators have literally run away from their responsibilities? One can’t—without revealing the bankruptcy of one’s own convictions. The most satisfying aspect of it all? Americans are getting a daily dose of progressivism’s only unalterable tenet: the ends justify the means.

For those of us who have long been paying attention, this isn’t news. Yet plenty of Americans scoffed at the idea that those who have long engaged in class warfare, stoked racial divisiveness, and fanned the flames of national self-loathing were anything more than people expressing a different viewpoint. When push came to shove, the Constitutionally-founded restraints of the rule of law would eventually prevail, right?

This is excellent. I hope the GOP is really absorbing the key ideas:

The Democrats have power because the unions have power.
If you break the unions, you break the Democrat machine.
The majority of US citizens want the unions broken.
This is a historic opportunity to pass legislation all over the country that will destroy the Democrat Party forever.

It's easy. Do it.

I am very frustrated by the way journalists refer to our government as "democratic" or "democracy".

Democracy is nothing more or less than mob rule. We are not a democracy.

We are a representative constitutional republic. In the common vernacular, a republican government.

I for one will not read any articles about democracy. That form of government fails every time it is tried.

If it was easy it would have been done years ago. The dirtbags of the Left are not just playing beanbag, they are in it for keeps, and if someone has to die to achieve their ends, that can and will be arranged before its over.

Nobody goes down without a fight, and the criminal leftwing element doesn't fight fair.

I kinda feel for the Democrats, if any come back I speculate they will be in harm’s way... IMHO they were TOLD to flee, and they dare not disobey! Richard Trumka is a scary guy.

“I hate the company, they will fire you... I fear the union they will kill you!” - W.V. coal miner (and probably the Wisconsin DemWit senators)

Americans are beginning to grasp the insidiousness by which one part of government negotiates with another part to fleece the public without restraint or remorse.

Sanction of the victim has allowed this to happen. Maybe now it will stop.

If it was easy it would have been done years ago.

It wasn't done years ago because it wasn't easy years ago.

The government is broke at every level. There is no money. Inflation will get worse. Unemployment isn't getting better. People are looking around and noticing that everyone is suffering -- except the public employee union members. They have a sweet deal. Great benefits, great pay, great retirement package. Collective bargaining gives them strength, political contributions give them leverage, activist governments give them power.

As the troubles of this country mount, more and more people will say "I want the unions broken". And this is a snowball -- WI begets Indiana. Indiana begets Ohio. Ohio begets NJ. NJ begets Pennsylvania. Each step along the journey reduces the power of the national machine, and each step makes the next step easier.

The GOP can do this, if they want to.

They are looking for dirt, right now. If they can find one piece of dirt, on any Republican in Wisconsin, or on even one single TEA Party member, the media will whip it up into a blanket indictment of the entire movement.

This from the people who scream at our side that we're too quick to "stereotype," that we're too eager to "generalize," to "paint with a broad brush."

If they can't find any dirt on anyone in their target zone, they'll infiltrate a shill, a false-front person, and manufacture a scandal out of whole cloth.

This is happening right now, I am certain. If Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann and the other brains behind the TEA Party and Republican insurgence have any sense, they'll be putting their heads together to come up with ways to counteract the wave of filth that's going to be unleashed by the Left in the coming weeks.

The Tolerant, Civil Left.

THANK YOU GLENN BECK!!!! I listened to Rush for 14 years, Hannity since he started, and watched FOX since 2002, and had absolutely no idea what Progressivism was until Glenn researched it and reported on his show about it about a year ago (or less). For you who understood it before, congrats, for you who still don't get it (like RUSH) research Glenn's past shows.

Quick quiz, if you dont know why Woodrow Wilson was a horrible president, you don't understand Progressivism.

Just like we say “democrat party”, I’ve taken to calling them “progressivists” rather than their preferred title, “progressives” because it’s nothing to do with progress, only about their twisted form of communism.

Here is the difference between a Republic and a Democracy.

james Madison (one of the founding fathers of the US) compared Republic to Democracy and found democracy to be wanting

a republic is people maintain some control over the government by established laws through a constitution. In the modern world there are two nations whom are deemed Republics US and India

Republic forms of Government are as follows:
Crowned
Capitalist
Constitutionalist
single party
federal
parliamentary
subset of parliamentary federal

Democracy forms of Government
consensus
cosociationalism
deliberative democracy
democratic socialism
totalitarian democract
subset of totalitarian democracy is dictatorship by the proleitariat (sp ?)
direct democracy
Egalitarianism
Futorchy
industrial
Open Source Governance
Participatory democracy
People’s
Pure
Representative democracy
subsets being
parliamentary system and its subsets
1.consensus government
2.westminister
back to the subsets
polyarchy
presidential system
subset bein
semi-presidential

I typed in Republic went to Wikkipedia and you can look up the forms of government for yourself

hope this helps others to see what is a Republic and what is a democracy.

The only way to combat it is to refuse to play their game. Like Christie when they said he should have come back for the snowstorm and he basically said SCREW YOU, I’m not going to cut my child’s visit to disneyland short to please the corrupt, vile midstream media when I couldn’t get back if I wanted to, and there is no reason to do so other than a photo op.” You have to be almost aggressive with them. Americans are so sick of namby-pamby that they’ll back you. That’s another domino I hope to see fall — the gonads to stand up and say FU!

Always remember: When leftists start collectively moaning about the need to follow the rules, respect precedent, and remain civil and subdued, that they are trying to put constraints on YOU, not themselves. It’s Saul Alinksy 101. Now, you may believe in these things to varying degrees, but the trick is to counter and ask earnestly why the Left doesn’t follow their own supposed moral guidelines, not to let them keep you under the spotlight of malevolent scrutiny while they run wild.

I think we would do well with a parliamentary democracy. If we had a parliament, everybody could be represented, and we could bring this government down RIGHT NOW for gross mismanagement. NO CONFIDENCE!

Moreover, if W had cleaned house, if he had moved the pendulum back to the right from the Clinton years more effectively, we would be in better shape to weather this storm.

Krauthammer just described this time in our history as the “magnificent turmoil.”

This can lead to a very necesary reset of our Republic.

It’s amazing and inspiring to see the Governors of states, and citizens of states, stepping up to the plate.

If you look at all of this as History In The Making, it’s a little easier to swallow. If I worry whether Libya is going to become part of the caliphate (it is), I will make myself sick. If I remember to observe, knowing there is nothing I can directly do to influence it, I’m much happier. These are forces that are far bigger than any of us. I’m almost happy when evil seems to triumph in some of these cases because I think it reveals truth. Evil that can be seen can be resisted. Fabian, occluded evil is so frustrating - you can yell at the top of your lungs and no one hears.

I hope this is indeed where all this is headed.

They have sold entitlement as a right, even as that “right” crushed the housing market, destroyed state and federal budgets, and created a subset of Americans without an ounce of dignity or remorse—on both ends of the class spectrum.

"Rights," the biggest lie ever perpetrated by the Left, on individuals, on society, on our government.

If something COSTS money to provide, then it cannot be a "right." Otherwise, "rights" necessarily involve a "right to ENSLAVE."

Obviously, if one person has a "right" to food, medical care, a cell phone, blah blah blah, someone else must be forced (i.e., ENSLAVED) to pay for it.

There is no right to enslave others to get what you want, or even what you "need."

When the Tea Party was protesting, we were the only people in the world protesting for our government to DO LESS. We were protesting for freedom from government, for the government to simply leave us alone. That costs no one a dime. In fact, quite the opposite, it saves a bunch of people a lot of money.

When the Flee Party protests, like other communists in the world, they are protesting for government to GIVE THEM MO MONEY. They are protesting for MORE government intervention in the labor market, for more ENSLAVEMENT of their fellow citizens for the purpose of bringing in MO MONEY.
