Kathleen Parker is now out as a television personality at CNN. John Ziegler has a theory about why, besides being on a competitive time slot with the horrible Elliot Spitzer as a co-host. It seems she had struck at the Queen and failed to kill her.
The Queen being Sarah Palin, of course.
"But the primary reason why the program couldn't work is also the very reason Parker got the gig in the first place. She was clearly hired because she was perceived as a 'conservative' who was willing to vigorously attack Palin, while not holding any particularly strong conservative opinions which might offend the largely liberal CNN audience. It is hardly a secret that the best (and perhaps only) way for an unknown or career-challenged conservative to achieve mainstream media acceptance is to be a sellout to their supposed cause (just ask Arianna Huffington, Peggy Noonan, David Brooks, David Frum, Michael Smerconish, or Joe Scarborough-to name only a few).
"Criticizing Palin (along with endorsing Obama) has quickly become the most reliable path to instant notoriety/credibility for ambitious 'conservatives,' and Parker became the poster child for this phenomenon. When I went on CNN during my film's first release, I was actually asked to respond to a Parker quote about Palin. This was especially absurd because Parker had no special knowledge of Palin and was virtually unknown before she 'led' Palin's 'assassination.' Had Parker praised Palin, CNN would never have found the quote remotely newsworthy.....

Who?
Kathleen Parker?
Who’s she?
:-)
Well, whoever this person is she shouldn’t have messed with Palin.
Another beltway type who’s never accomplished anything, so she feels qualified to tell us why Sarah is bad.
She was only perceived as Conservative because she’s not ugly like all other Liberal women.
Kathleen Parker..a Conservative LOL Okie Dokie...oh and good riddance Parker, I bet her 3 supporters are devastated
I thought the cnn job was a good spot for Parker.
She’s a fairly attractive liberal dame, and she looks good when sitting next to and being contrasted with a mug like Spitzer’s.
It was a fairly predictable spiral. I don’t think Parker ever showed much talent and brief bits that I watched...I wouldn’t give her that much credit. She might be better suited for written commentary.
She was a pro-Obama CINO who grouped up with Peggy Noonan and Christopher Buckley to persuade RINOs to vote for Dear Leader.
Kathleen Parker exuded vitriol that was based sole upon her personal ambition to get ahead at Sarah Palin’s expense. She had no integrity and it was evident. She was destined to fail.
Ms Parker is mildly attractive until she opens her mouth to speak
Damn! I like this one. I now have a new tagline.
Boudicca lost, but damn, they did remember her.
Show was horrible. Parker is sort of attractive, but is entirely uninteresting and doesn’t seem particularly conservative.
Spitzer is terrible and has no future on television.
It’s nice to see the career death of the RINO parker, but I can’t wait to see Rupert Murdoch offing RINO peggy noonan’s career. That will be so sweet.
One thing Spitzer has over BOR (who’s on at the same time) is that Spitzer actually allows his guest to complete a sentence, unlike BOR who usually interrupts the guest in the middle of the first sentence.
Uh, Arianna Huffington was NEVER a conservative or a Republican. She was married to a guy who ran for office as a Republican, but that didn’t mean Arianna was anything but the flaming leftist and opportunist she quickly revealed herself to be. Horrible, horrible woman. Makes the term “shrew” seem gentle and sweet by comparison.
noonan wrote wonderful books about Reagan, but if we consider how she’s a sucker for powerful speechgivers such as both Reagan and brak obama, then it’s easy to see how she’s about neither substance nor principles, but merely style.
