Terror threats rising as FEMA orders $1 Billion in dehydrated food
Finance Examiner ^ | 2/24/11 | Kenneth Schortgen Jr

Posted on 02/28/2011 3:12:28 PM PST by Kartographer

Terror threats appear to be on the rise as FEMA has rushed a $1 Billion order of dehydrated food in the event of attacks on domestic targets in the US.

This is also coming on the heels of one of the largest terror drills performed by the US Navy on American soil, as Operation Solid Curtain is taking place this week.

In an article Tuesday from the Beaufort Observer, many of the largest suppliers of dehydrated foods in the country are dropping their distributors and customers to dedicate their resources to supplying a billion dollar FEMA request and purchase.

Dear Valued Customers:
As you know we have removed #10 cans from our website temporarily. The reason for this is sales of #10 cans have continued to increase. OFD is allocating as much production capacity as possible to this market segment, but we must maintain capacity for our other market segments as well.

Currently we are able to meet demand for Mountain House pouches and most of these products are still available for purchase on our website. We do have a small number of dealers that we will continue to make and ship #10 cans to and you will need to contact them directly to place an order. For a list of dealers, please contact us at MH-Info@ofd.com

We want to clarify inaccurate information that is being said on the internet, news and radio. This situation is not due to sales to the government domestically or internationally. We do sell products to this market, but we also sell other market segments, including Ingredient and Private Brand markets. The reason for this decision is solely due to an unexpected sales spike in #10 cans sales.

We expect this situation to be necessary for several months although this isn’t a guarantee. We will update this information as soon as we know more. We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience. We sincerely hope you will continue to be Mountain House customers in the future.

Several years ago, I was on a camping trip in Western N.C.

I noticed Wal-Mart had some Mountain House pouches on clearance. Not sure why they were clearing them out as the dates were fresh.

Both my Daughter and I thought they were pretty good. Quite a bit better than most pre-prepared meals. They were also really easy to prepare. Just put in hot water and wait a bit.

I read this, as well. But who bought up all of their stock? I don't think a billion dollars' worth of multi-serve cans were scarfed up by survivalists in Wyoming.

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

Do You Have Your Green Pass? Bunkers Being Built Nationwide

http://theintelhub.com/2011/02/27/do-you-have-your-green-pass/

According to a video that just surfaced on Youtube, the government and/or private entities and/or agencies could potentially be gearing up for a massive disaster of great proportions.

Add in the fact that FEMA has ordered 140 million packets of food, body bags, and blankets it seems clear that at the very least our government believes a disaster is set to happen.

Apparently a company called American Reassurance Communities is offering citizens the ability to purchase your green pass for $75,000.00 a year, retaining your very own underground condo in underground communities worldwide.

You can even bring your friends or family along for a cool $50,000.00 per person a year extra.

What type disaster could they be preparing for?

Video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41dknvOIXlc&feature=player_embedded

This is a conversation with a guy that installs bunkers nationwide. He confirms a lot of the doubts we had……I hope people are preparing because, preparation for something to come that doesn’t is still better than sitting back and not heeding the warning. One love!

I happened to be reading this while wearing my tin foil hat.

What if the purpose of this HUGE increase in stockpiling by fema is not about them getting ready for an emergency ?

What if it’s about eliminating OUR ability to prepare for an emergency ?

“$1 Billion order of dehydrated food”

Probably more to do with government largesse to union workers than preparedness for a national emergency. This administration is totally corrupt and will stop at nothing to secure political donations and buy votes.

We just took delivery of our Big Berkey water filter and the grain mill should be here tomorrow.

Ask yourself how much of this FEMA order do you think will be distributed to “the folks” when the SHTF?

The govt will not save you in a really bad situation. Stock up now and get 12 mos worth. You are going to need it.

For those who wish you can download my Preparedness Manual at:

http://www.mediafire.com/?zx5772aa15x6xga

Also checkout our own ChocChipCookie’s Survival Mom Blog

http://thesurvivalmom.com/

Both have tips and instuction on dehydrating your own food, which you can then vaccuum seal in jars add an oxygen absorber and you have some long term storage food fairly cheap. I myself catch frozen vegs on sale and dehydrate them saves time! Kroger/Smith has them 10 for 10 right now.

This article is a bit misleading. FEMA does stock MRE’s in limited quantities but they don’t have millions of them sitting around in warehouses (FEMA closed several of their storage depots a few years ago). FEMA’s basic policy with supplies is to have contracts in place to deliver when needed not before. This sounds like an RFP for a worst case scenario not an actual order that needs to be filled. If you read the comments section you will see a post by a food service person who basically debunks the inference of the article. Another non-fact in the article is that FEMA raised alert levels. FEMA has nothing to do with alert levels, they are set by Homeland Security of which FEMA is one part.

New Madris Fault bicentennial quake? Saw FEMA looking for alternative suppliers of energy to TX, AL, GA, SC, and NC, as well. Out to NC? I thought that was crazy. Then it dawned on me.... they are concerned that a NMZE would wack the Eastern Interconnect. No power, no central communications, no refrigeration, no working pumps, ...etc.

Remember, we Texans who are ‘independent of the grid!’ had to buy juice from Mexico while we were blacking out all over the state a few weeks ago, to tremendous frozen pipe damage.

The Texas Interconnect being self-sufficient isn’t true anymore.

So you think it might just be part of this exercise:

National Level Exercise 2011
May 16-20, 2011

http://www.ready.gov/nle2011/index.html
http://www.cusec.org
http://www.shakeout.org/centralus/index.html

The purpose of National Level Exercise 2011 (NLE 2011) is to prepare and coordinate a multiple-jurisdictional integrated response to a national catastrophic event – specifically a major earthquake in the central United States region of the New Madrid Seismic Zone (NMSZ).

So you think it might just be part of this exercise:

I am OK with that. Consider the alternative view advocating HAARP will induce the fault in May during the "simulation" as a cover to impose martial law.

Similarly, there are those claiming event activity in ARKANSAS is purposefully being under-reported, which is contrary to this USGS report that includes them.

The frequency of recorded events is relatively new. FEMA has been planning the simulation for some time now, so it is not like they are planning in response to the events. We all know they do not move that fast. It took seven days to get water to the superdome. I think it was probably late 3Q2010 when they realized the Eastern Interconnect could get wacked and it would take 10 days to restore.

Coincidence is a funny thing though, and one can sometimes read way to much into it. Remember the fella who said that May 21, 2011 is the correct date, not Dec 21, 2011? I wonder if he knew it was the day after the FEMA exercise.
