Even after Wisconsin, unions will still have the upper hand

Over the last 100 years Big Labor has racked up a string of victories that give it the upper hand…... The “investments” Labor has made in the purchase of politicians has led to benefits that have the legal system rigged in its favor.

In 1914 the Clayton Act exempted unions from charges of monopoly even when they force rival organizations out of a workplace.

The Norris-LaGuardia Act of 1932 takes away the possibility injunctions that would lead to union thugs being arrested for trespassing during union job actions on their employer’s properties.

The Railway Labor Act of 1926, the National Labor Relations Act of 1935, and the Federal Labor Relations Act of 1978, bar individual employees from negotiating their own contracts. This monopoly gives unions a huge advantage when dealing with “difficult” members.

The 1931 Davis-Bacon Act requires that “prevailing wages” (read union wages) be paid on all federal public works projects that will cost over $2,000. This means even if a contractor hires non union workers he has to pay them the same as if they were union workers. This gives unions a distinct advantage in actually setting their own wages.

The 1973 United States v. Enmons decision was a gift from a leftist Supreme Court. This decision held that the Hobbs Act which makes interstate robbery and/or extortion a crime, did not apply to violence committed by union thugs trying to physically grab control of workplaces during job actions. In other words during a strike anything goes for the unions.

The Federal Election Campaign Act makes union contributions exempt from restrictions and lets unions spend as much as necessary to buy politicians campaigning for federal office. ……unions can laugh at questions about how much they give to candidates. They can legally claim they contribute nothing....

This whole package has to be rolled back piece by piece. Now is our best chance to get things straightened out.

It is true Unions have a strong position similar to a parasite and a host.

Sometimes the parasite overwhelms the host and it dies, taking the parasites with it.

Public employee unions are currently sucking the blood out government and they seem to be too stupid or too greedy to be aware they are killing the host.

Things as they are now can not continue. I doubt if any action or give back at this point in time can save public employee unions. The pension bomb is about to explode and when it happens a lot of people will be hurt, but specifically union retirees.

“The UNIONS OWN Wisconsin.. also Minn., Indiana, Ohio, NY, MAss., Conn, and New Jersey..”

This just goes to show how utterly naive and/or stupid republicans have been to allow this major component of the democrap party continue to grab more and more power over the years. We need some tough, no-nonsense pols on our side of the aisle to kick ass and take names later. Governor Walker is a good start.
