Gov. Haley Barbour (R-Miss.) recently spoke to Business people in Chicago and managed to say what is on all of our minds. After the president and his Party berated president Bush and promising pie in the sky hope and change the reality of the Barry Hussein Soetoro has done just doesnt match up to his promises.
In my view it is a failure of government policy. In fairness, the Obama administration arrived in office facing some of the worst economic conditions in decades. But for more than two years this administration and its Congress has pursued policy after policy that created economic uncertainly or directly hurt the economy. Explosive spending, skyrocketing deficits, gargantuan debt, calls for record tax increases, government run health care, out of control regulations and an anti-growth energy policy-- Gov. Screw that. It was of their own making and exacerbated by their 2007/2008 campaign to regain power by bashing the economy.
They just did too good a job and now we all have to live with it. Stinking Democrats.
It was more than a governmental policy failure; it was a failure of voter expectations. The American people, primarily the parasitic class, imagined that they could vote themselves prosperity at the expense of those who work and produce. Starting when Pelosi took power, we have seen the result of this sad set of expectations (sad because the "disadvantaged" who are told they will be helped by government handouts are hurt the most by dependence on the generosity of the ruling class elites in government).
