Barack Obama’s paralysed presidency: the White House looks incapable of leading at home and abroad
Telegraph UK ^ | March 17, 2011 | Nile Gardiner

Earlier this week I gave an interview to Fox News, talking about how the president seems paralysed in the face of the Libyan crisis, as Colonel Gaddafi’s forces make progress towards the rebel stronghold of Benghazi, leaving death and destruction in their wake. While Barack Obama has dithered, and his Secretary of State has worshipped at the altar of the United Nations, one of the most brutal tyrants on the face of the earth is getting away with murder, with a death toll that could reach as high as 15,000.

It is a sad day when the foreign policy of the United States, the world’s greatest power, is subordinated to the whims of the UN, for decades a playground for dictators and unabashed anti-Americanism.

...But US weakness on Libya is also a reminder of a White House incapable of leading domestically as well. This is a paralysed presidency, whether it is facing momentous events abroad or towering debts at home. The Obama administration remains in a complete state of denial regarding the massive threat the United States faces with its budget deficit, which is now the largest since 1945.

As I’ve noted before, the Obama presidency is sleepwalking America towards long-term economic decline by saddling the American people with a burden of epic proportions

He’s lead abroad. She’s spending out money as if it’s water.

I think Mars is still available.

No his NASA proposals both spend too much money for a simple earth science mission but provide no direction for a Moon/Mars mission. He won't commit to a booster design. And keeps tasking NASA with community outreach to Muslim nations instead of space exploration. Turns out Obama can't show any leadership in space either.

Maybe once Kadafy (or however you spell it) wins, Urkel could go over there and help organize the community.

Hillary told the honcho in Tunisia that we’re going to help them create jobs. Wonder when they’re going to start doing it here.

There is more to “leadership” than keeping ones chin high and giving nice speeches.

This isn’t rocket science. Liberals are just naturally sympathetic to successful dictators - after all, they are running their country just like the Libs want to run ours. And secondly, Liberals don’t do war. They may pick one or two up from a prior administration but they are loathe to be the initiator of new aggression by imperialistic and evil Americans.

If you understand this then you will understand Obama’s do nothing foreign policy. And specifically, you will understand why Obama really has no policy vis a vis Libya. Basically he just wants to watch the civil war in Libya during halftime breaks just to make sure he knows how it turns out.

And once again the Brits have delivered truth.

I will talk to my rep this next week. I will convey my concerns over the inability to him of this Presidents capacity to command. I will get an answer from him if he thinks this president should be removed from office.
