It is remarkable that since Nymans Garden was created in 1890 it has seen only three Head Gardeners: James Comber from 1895-1953; Cecil Nice, who began working at Nymans in 1924 and succeeded James Comber as Head Gardener in 1953; and currently David Masters, who took over when Cecil retired in 1980.
Who cannot envy those three men for as we walked around those beautiful grounds we felt certain that Christian Bovee was right when he said to cultivate a garden is to walk with God

While going through a difficult period this fall I was in no mood to plant the bulbs I had purchased. At the urging of my friend to “just get out there and plant them” I put them in the ground. I’m so very happy I did because they are blooming!
I feel hopeful today.
I have synthetic turf, so I guess I walk with Xenu.

And I must say England has been looking decidedly lovely this past few days.
I am of the firmest conviction that on a sunny spring day, there is no country that can parallel it’s beauty.
Zero should have something like that installed in the Oval Office, complete with a few cups, to practice his short game.

Me too. The general extreme scarcity of sunny spring days adds to the beauty too, by providing a very obvious contrast :)
