My post concerning Stephen Lerner yesterday has generated a ton of hits. For awhile if you searched for Stephen Lerner on Yahoo my blog post was #3 on the list. As of the time this post is entered it was still in the top 10. I didnt do anything to put the post in the top 10, I have no idea how to even do such things. It begs the question how little old Steven Birn, a lawyer from Michigan, could generate an entry that hits the top 10 on a major news story.
The answer is simple, the media is ignoring the story. I did a search just five minutes ago for news stories concerning Stephen Lerner and it came up largely empty. There is one news article out there besides the Business Investor piece I linked yesterday. The lone article is from something called the Atlantic Wire. There are a handful of opinion pieces out there, including one from the American Prospect defending Lerner.
How can it be that a major news story like this fails to gain any traction in the mainstream press? Outside of Glenn Beck, The Blaze and Business Investor, there arent any articles about Stephen Lerner or SEIU in the last two days. This despite the fact that the former SEIU employee is actively planning economic terrorism and specifically targeting JP Morgan Chase for destruction. This is a man who organizing a massive movement to create chaos on Wall Street and who seeks to create a bank meltdown. Hes on tape, its clear as day. Yet the mainstream press refuses to cover the story. Why?
Stephen Lerner has been to the White House four times since Obama became President. This is a man who the Treasury Dept. admits met with high ranking officials recently. This is a man who writes for the Huffington Post and is well respected in radical left-wing circles. Keep in mind, President Obama said during his campaign for President that he has worked for many years with SEIU and shares their goals. Is there any doubt that President Obama knows who Stephen Lerner is? Yet the media hasnt touched this story. Why?

From President Warren's Empire - finance czar answers to no one (wsj mar 2011)
The consumer finance czar answers to no one and sets her own budget. ...Congress has little say over either the new bureau or its unofficial czar, Elizabeth Warren.
From ny times, Warrens Candidacy Raises a Partisan Debate (Jul 2010
highly unusual for presidential appointments other than Supreme Court nominees or cabinet positions also reflects deep anxiety that the work of overhauling financial regulation is shifting from Congress to agencies that are insulated from public pressure and will write and put into effect hundreds of new rules. ...A lot of us are terrified about what happens in rule-making, said Stephen Lerner of the Service Employees International Union, which is pressing the administration to nominate Ms. Warren. Symbolically, it does seem incredibly important to pick somebody who not only invented the idea, but someone who doesnt claim to be a neutral.

Yep, who would want impartiality in a government bureaucrat? The whole purpose of government is to reward friends and punish enemies. Lerner sounds as if he and Obama long ago achieved a mind-meld.
Let me hazard a guess. Racism? After all, the media jumped all over Van Jones.

Rush is talking about this now!
The Warren (financial Czar) connection is disturbing. She has too much power.
This is unacceptable. If it is true he should be considered an enemy of this country, prosecuted and either deported or put in prison. This goes beyond freedom of speech. Our founding fathers would have hanged him.

Interesting, thanks
