Loyal readers will recall that I warned last year of the perfect storm approaching on gun control. Now, with the Tucson tragedy as a stepping stone, and with eyes firmly focused on his re-election, the president has finally opened a campaign to appease his base on the polarizing issue of gun control.
Let me completely disclose my position: I am a strong Second Amendment advocate. I believe in protecting our fundamental rights, including our Second Amendment rights, through the political process. To that end, I serve as honorary chairman of the "Trigger the Vote" voter registration campaign.
That campaign is funded by the NRA's Freedom Action Foundation. We work in every election cycle to register gun owners and hunters to vote and add them to the ranks of millions of grassroots voters who have established Second Amendment issues as the new "third rail" of American politics. Those voters, and the newly registered voters we can add to their ranks between now and then, will have the job cut out for them in the 2012 election cycle.

That’s good
The lockstep, ruthless voting discipline of the 'Rats in Congresss (look at how many of their own they lied to and threw over the side to get Obamacare passed) makes it more dangerous than kissing a basketful of cobras to deal with, vote for, or cooperate with Democrats on anything.
Somehow, uber-'Rats like Pelosi and Rahm Emanuel and Tommy Dasschole will use it to screw you. You can count on it -- it's in their party's DNA.
Thanks rhema.
Are you really so stupid that you can’t read to the end of a sentence?
My point exactly ... now if they can separate the NRA from the vote registration ... more power to em. Question is do they?
Hey Joe ... here's another bunch of voter registrations gathered by the NRA ... process them in the "usual" way
and for those who think I should read to the end of the sentence ... perhaps YOU should learn to read between the lines
Seems to me you left out a bit.
Perhaps you should quit digging. Your hole full of dumbass is full.
Sure, but don't be fooled into thinking that the RATS have an airtight lock on corruption and political chicanery. At the national level, no politician has clean hands. Everybody has compromised their morals at some point. Everybody has thrown their integrity into the trash. The contract with American politicians is: You give me your vote for something I really want and I'll give your bill my vote in return.
*snort*
That is a most excellent graphic.
