One problem. We cannot penalize a child for dual citizenship of his parents, or even his own dual citizenship. Remember that another country can even involuntarily confer citizenship on anyone.
Suppose for example that Sarah palin was our republican nominee in 2012. Any country in the world could confer citizenship on her and make her ineligible to run.
Therefore only foreign citizenships that you applied for, or renew, as an adult should play a part in making a natural born citizen ineligible.
If Barack Obama could prove he was born in Hawaii and his birth father was an American too, I would give him a total pass on having been given Indonesian citizenship as a child. However, there is circumstantial evidence that he renewed his Indonesian passport and traveled under it as an adult.
No, he did not prove it. The certificate of live birth, even if genuine and there are plenty of reasons why it may not be, could be given to someone who was actually not born in Hawaii.
There is evidence of corruption in the Hawaii hierarchy/ government/health department, so we can’t even take that comment about having seen Thr BC as evidence. Interesting that Abercrombie intended to pit an end to all of this, but could not. He told his friend he found nothing, that there was no BC. His friend went on several radio shows after talking with Abercrombie NAND recounted consistently this conversation. Within 24 hours, he recanted all of it, saying he hadn’t spoken to Abercrombie in years. It sounded like he was shut up.
Also, you need to search posts of butterdezillion on FR. In a post from within Thr last day or so, she included a link to her blog where she has thorough research and evidence without a doubt that the microfiches of the birth announcements from The newspapers were tampered with. So they are wholly suspect.
There is an awful lot of smoke all aroud this issue. There is absolutely no evidence Obama was born in Hawaii. There just isn’t.

As you also know, we don't agree on anything when it comes to this Obama long form birth certificate controversy.
As I read your profile, I was wondering about some things about you: As an economist as you describe yourself above in your profile, are you a self-taught economist without any college degree, or if you graduated from college, do you have a degree in business or economics?
Do you have a college degree in economics and/or business? then prove it.
1. Are you American born? Then prove it. How would you prove it? Are we simply to take your word for it, or are you going to post a copy of your of birth certificate on a website so that we look at it but we can't touch it or look at up close and in person?
2. How old are you? Then prove it. How would you prove it? Are we expected to simply take your word for it?
3. Have you ever held a real job, or are you self-employed? Then prove it. How would you prove it?
4. At any time in your work history when you applied for a job, did you ever have to present a copy of your long form birth certificate?
5. Do you know any family members or friends who have had to present their long form birth certificates when they applied for a job?
Enquiring minds want to know.

As you know, Obama's mother's side of family originally came from Kansas, I believe, where Obama sill has a lot of relatives from his mother's side of his family.
So tell me this: Let's suppose that Obama was involved in a dispute over a will of a rich Kansas relative who died and left Obama a lot of money in the will, but some of Obama's Kansas relatives were disputing the details of the will.
Let's suppose that in order to get his share of the will, Obama had to go to court to prove that he was who he said he was by presenting a copy of his birth certificate.
1. Tell me, do you seriously believe that a court in Kansas would accept the Obama short form birth certificate that we see on Obama's website as proof that Obama is who he says he is?
2. Also, do you seriously believe that a Kansas court would go to the trouble of downloading a copy of Obama's short form birth certificate from the internet like the rest of us had to do if Obama asked it to?
3. Or, is it more reasonable to expect the court to order Obama and his lawyers to show up in court with a fresh copy of his short or long form birth certificate that the state of Hawaii sent Obama, because it is not going to accept a copy of Obama's birth certificate that has been downloaded from the internet.
4. Myself, I don't think that a Kansas court would be very happy if Obama told the court something like this: If the court wanted a copy of his birth certificate, it could get one by simply downloading one from Obama's website.
5. And I don't think that the court would be very happy if Obama walked into court with a copy of his short form birth certificate that he downloaded from his own website, especially if Obama walked into court with a copy of his short form birth certificate where the number on the upper right side was blacked out like the short form birth certificate we see on several Obama sites.
6. Obama's short form birth certificate might be accepted in any court of law, but it won't be one that is downloaded from an Obama website.
7. In my opinion, it will have to be a copy of a birth certificate that Obama received fresh directly from the state of Hawaii on which the Hawaii seal is prominently displayed.
And Monopoly money says $500.
And has the same legal value as the best that Obama has in Hawaii. As even Gov Neil Abercrombie admitted when he told a Star Advertiser columnist that what they have in Hawaii is not likely to convince doubters that Obama was born in Hawaii.
But you know that.

Sounds like he is ready to say that anybody who disbelieves what they’ve got - which is something “written down” in the State Archives - has a political agenda or is not being “honest” about it. IOW, he knows that what they have is not going to convince doubters.
That is not what a person would say if they knew there was a legally-valid long-form sitting in their Vital Records Office with all the embedded logs showing it as legitimate.
The HDOH doesn’t follow no stinkin’ rules or laws. They will never let anybody see any official documents related to Obama, no matter what any rules or laws say.
It’s the same way the Department of Homeland Security and every other office that supposedly has records on Obama behaves. Issa doesn’t like it.

The more I think about the Evans original statements re Abercrombie not finding any.thing in Hawaii, the more it parallels my own son’s situation.
My son has never lived, since age 2, in any other state than CA. He could present himself as a California-born American, I suppose. However, if one were to check the files in the only county he’s ever lived, LA County, there is no record of his birth. Nor is there a record of his birth in any other state.
My son was born to one American citizen and one foreign national, in another country. The biggest difference (besides the actual married status of his parents, lol) between my son and Obama is that I was old enough to confer American citizenship upon my son immediately, which I did at the embassy there.
He thereby received a unique American birth certificate, the original document, that we were told was the only one he would ever receive his entire life. This is what happens if you give birth outside the country. There is no other birth certificate on file in the USA. All the foreign embassy has is some notation in the files. Nothing else.
The fact that per Evans there is nothing on file in Hawaii for Obama, combined with Obama never simply saying that he was born in Washington state (if he had been, he would never have needed all this obfuscation), does lead us to believe he was born outside the country, and his mother was too young to confer her American citizenship upon him.
We’ve all been scammed. He’s not natural born, and he knows it.

Something was real rotten about Obama. We were the first birthers. I jumped into the fray because I was born in Hawaii 8 years and 3 days after Barry. I had access to HDOH and a willingness to use it.
I am proud to say that many of those same people I met then are still here and still contributing to the discussion. I am so proud of you guys and gals!!!
Today, I see these threads, and I am proud to say that there are so MANY new names to me! I almost feel like a stranger!! That is AWESOME! it means we have succeeded in getting people to listen and to think about what we have been discussing!!!!
