Conservative women who hate Sarah Palin confound me. What has especially alarmed me has been the amount of women who hate her as a woman. I know that is the reason, because – and this is the important part – when you ask them WHAT “scares” them about her (a favorite “Halloweeny” term used in place of the word “hate”), the answer is the same from conservative and liberal women alike. “She’s so dumb.” How? Uh, crickets chirping.

There’s a lot to envy in Sarah Palin, and many women can’t suppress their spiteful envy. They don’t like the fact that this Wonderwoman exists, because she establishes a standard that most women can’t dream of meeting. But apart from everything else, her voice is not that of the educated East Coast Ivy graduate. She sounds too backwoods, too much like the unlettered, uncultured lower-class woman they’d like to pretend she is. It’s just a facile, surface excuse to hate a woman who is not perfect but is a patriot doing great service to this nation.

Alot of Conservative women don’t want to fight the echo chamber which has stereotyped her. Lots of this will disappear after she gets the nomination.

That said, resorting to ad hominem attacks as the first line of defense, is the province of liberals. Well done on outing yourself.

One other thing -- if you'd bothered to read the whole thread, you'd see that mine isn't a "lonely view", and that you're about the only one here who claims to not know any conservative women who like Sarah Palin.

Regardless of gender, real conservatives admire and like Sarah Palin a great deal.

It has to be more than that because these days girls/women (mostly) feel cool and “open-minded” when they talk about another woman’s attractiveness. They will even tell you they point out the hot girls to their boyfriends. Then, that could all just be a front. I don’t know what it is but I have also felt, just like the author of the article hinted, that the hatred of Sarah is demonic in nature. There are many strange goings-on these days and the hatred for this seemingly upstanding woman is but one of them.

I think women dislike Sarah Palin because they listen to the liberal media hype about her and actually believe what they hear. I met several Republicans that dislike her but cannot think of one reason why. The liberal media wins again. Michelle Bachman will be in the crosshairs next. We will hear how dumb she is over and over again.
