The DivArty commander was the real villain in that case.
But not Iran, Venezuela or Cuba, all worse human rights violators than Gaddafi.
What Allen West did in Iraq hardly rised to the level of war criminal. I’d just call him a hard azz and give him a medal and leave it at that. What West did to that Iraqi is nothing that can’t happen to you on Saturday night in Buckhead. LOL!!

For whoever might be interested, I googled “DivArty”, and the second hit from the top concerned a book called “A Missing Link in Leadership, The Trial of Colonel Allen West”, by Dr Richard Berry, whose interest seems to be “leadership”. The Introduction is there to read, and I just read it.

West was assigned to run local elections in Tikrit (if one remembers, Saddam’s “dead enders” were trying to intimidate potential voters from participating). West was informed by military intelligence, who had information from three sources, about a plot to assassinate him and his unit. Eight days later, his patrol actually was ambushed, although none of the soldiers were killed. Subsequently an Iraqi police officer was identified as being involved with the plotters. This was the guy who West interrogated.
So, Col West made his choice. How about the rest of us? Who do you want covering your back? Col West, or Barak Obama? OK, that wasn’t fair. Col West, or Chuck Shumer?
If you really want to have fun, contrast LTC West’s actions and treatment with that meted out to LTC Nate Sassman. West Point Protection Agency covered Sassman, the former quaterback while LTC West was hung out to dry by the WPPA.
Real reason the 4ID ADC(M) was headed to Taji was the piss poor command climate in the DivArty that was commanded by, oh yeah, the former West Point boxing coach
