I also guess it would preclude an adopted child, as the birth parents might well be unknown. And what about in-vitro fertilization; do we have to know the citizenship of the sperm and egg donors?
It has always been known that the man Obama claimed as his father was not a citizen. The argument over natural born citizen has always revolved around that question, although it was effectively obscured by the easier to understand and therefore simple distraction of Obama’s birth certificate.

What I do know is that the framers dealt with the natural born citizen thing twice: once in in the constitution and once in the naturalization act of 1790 which specifically stated that nationality is conferred by the father and that the right of citizenship did “not descend to persons whose fathers have never been resident in the United States. The framer’s original intent is pretty clear regardless of what people say today.

He has never been a natural born citizen and he knows it. His sire,( I won’t use the term father because the only father figures he ever had were FMD, Gramps and Lolo) held allegiance to another country, which passed he onto his spawn, IF senior is really his father which I highly question.

PS - this is not about race, it is about the attitude of Barry toward the Constitution as a "charter of negative liberties" - he sees no value in it, and proves it daily. For Barry, it is a blank paper you can write anything on, such as "citizen" = "natural born citizen".
Personally, I don’t know whether the present document is for real or not. It’s sad that this president has lied so much about so many things, even if he were to present us with two stone tablets inscribed by God, we wouldn’t believe it. People have been constantly making that statement since long before and after this recent release of the long form BC. And Obama has always claimed that Obama from Kenya is his father.
So, it's pretty obvious that there is no clear legal prohibition on Obama being eligible for the presidency because his father was from Kenya and not a US citizen.
And it's equally clear that what the conditions that make someone a natural born citizen are not so clearly defined legally as to cover all possible conditions of parentage and place of birth.
No matter where anyone stands on the question of Obama's eligibility, it's pretty absurd to continue making the quoted statement above when Obama has always said Obama Sr. was his father , and it has always been known that Obama Sr. is from Kenya and not an American citizen.
If that particular statement were true and accepted as established law, Obama wouldn't have been allowed to run. But it's not accepted law and people should stop pretending that it is.
This will go no where! The Courts are communists/liberal controlled. It is the Courts that have the biggest part in destroying America because they will not uphold the Constitution.
Nothing will dissuade people who want to either flog this issue to discredit Obama and/or make a buck off it, or those who simply want to believe that the man is not a natural born citizen.

Isn’t the most convenient way for this affair to go away to just concede that Obama Sr’s shotgun wedding was invalid due to his bigamy? If it was an invalid marriage, Obama jr would be a legal bastard and thus fall under NBC due to the mother alone.
