It wasn’t President Bush who initially announced the capture of Saddam, he left it to Paul Bremmer to do it, who didn’t feel the need to indulge in soaring rhetoric. First words were ‘Ladies and Gentlemen, we got him’. Obama couldn’t even be that straightforward with the news, first he had to indulge in soaring rhetoric.
