Ah my friend, I still have hope that we can make a difference. The emergence of the 'tea-party-movement' in 2010 gives me reason to hope for honest change.
When JimRob got pissed-off in 1998 and said that he was going to DC because of the beatdown of Teri and Don Adams in Philly (I think), 4 to 5 thousand of us went with him, and it was a magical beginning.
I think that the 'tea-party' is attracting real conservative Americans who won't be fooled again.
The primaries have become the 'real' stomping-grounds now, and people are interested and better informed due to the Internet. That's a good thing!

I’m increasingly of the opinion that fasting and prayer will, ultimately, end up having had far more impact for the good of our nation, world and families.
OF COURSE, we should do both.
However, I also believe that it is utter foolishness for people who claim that
GOD ALMIGHTY—THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB—CHRIST JESUS THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS—CREATOR GOD—
THAT FOLKS WHO CLAIM
That God is their all in all; their Source; Defender; High Tower—THEIR GOD
and then LOOK MORE ENERGETICALLY, INTENSELY, CHRONICALLY AND FAITHFULLY IN MORE WAYS to extremely flawed to brazenly evil political cliques to be their economic and other salvation—are going to be greatly disabused of that misplaced devotion in coming months and years.
ULTIMATELY, GOD WILL HAVE *NO* OTHER GODS BEFORE HIM IN ANY LIVES WHO WISH TO DWELL WITH HIM ETERNALLY.
That includes the false and very bankrupt gods of political solutions, nationalism and even patriotism—though I’m a fierce nationalist patriot.

I can’t speak for all American Jews, but I think the same thing know that I did in 2008 about the Presidents Arab-Israeli position - he is idealistic and ignorant about world politics. That being said I have every faith that the Jewish state will continue to exist regardless of this Presidents policies because Israel will do what is necessary for its survival.
Koch is losing it. He recently publicly and foolishly attacked the member of the Board of Trustees who voted against the vicious Israel basher Tony Kushner being awarded an honorary degree by the City College of New York.
A Left wing Democrat male wrote to tell me he’s shocked at Obama’s sellout of Israel and that he realizes after Obama’s showing for sure his desire to destroy Israel, he would consider voting for a McCain or a Palin rather than Obama.
