Growing up, it was always amusing to hear liberals sputter their hatred about President Reagan. They would inconsistently argue both that Reagan was a mad genius who was trying to starve the welfare state by overspending on the military, and at the same time Reagan was said to be a doddering old fool who was completely disconnected from reality.
It has been exceedingly difficult for conservatives to correctly define the pathology of President Obama. He is neither an evil genius, nor a doddering old fool. Instead, he is an odd bird: an African-American President who has presided over the greatest African-American male unemployment crisis since records have been kept. Obama is unable to be re-elected without supporting pro-growth fiscal policies, but instead he supports more regulations and inflation.
Perhaps strangest of all is President Obama's enmity for Israel, the most successful anti-colonial nation to be created in the aftermath of World War II. Without argument, Israel is also the only successful national liberation movement in modern times. Aren’t these things that liberals like?
I have a theory as to why President Obama supports an unlikely "return" (really, turning over) of Judea and Samaria to a budding terrorist state, and negations over allowing the great grandchildren of fleeing Palestinians to “come home” to Israel.
Here is the reason: President Obama hates what Israel represents. I do not mean to say he is an anti-Semite, because I doubt that he is. He is far too sophisticated for that. Elites do not hate, they simply shake their heads in disappointment...

Liberals are simpletons who believe that they can solve all of the problems of society.
They do not believe that they create more problems than they solve and, if they do create more problems, they think they can solve that too.
They only believe they are sophisticated.

He is of half-African heritage (his father) and he is an American (I presume). Also, he considers himself African-American, so why not give him the benefit of that doubt?
I call BS on this. In fact, they hate more so than conservatives, and as they often do, they project their hate into their accusations of hate against conservatives. Elites "think" they are sophisticated, but they need that false perch to talk down to and lecture others.
They may use bigger words, but they have all the weaknesses of other human beings. In addition, they are further intellectually crippled by believing they are smarter than others and have a sense of entitlement because of their self-perceived "goodness", which is really based on their self-created morality. But their claims of superior intelligence is proven false by their subscription to idiotic ideas that defy human nature and common sense. And we have seen repeatedly how quickly they revert to the name-calling and brute force when they are challenged. No, I utterly reject the notion that elites do not hate.

I was using sarcastic. You are right, they do hate. My point is that they are so “above it all” that they express their hate through disappointment. Example: “we are disappointed that the Syrian government has massacred thousands of their own people in order to stay in power.”
