Will is welcome to his opinions, no matter how Sexist, Stupid, Elitist, or completely out of touch they may be. But, to call himself a CONSERVATIVE is as Laughable as calling his buddy Christiane Amanpour unbiased.

George Will really should retire before he embarrasses himself further.

I'm hoping a certain titular head of the Republican Party calls him out (on Tuesday) for his remarks.

What it comes down to, for me, is this.

Is Sarah Palin more likely to use nuclear weapons against the people of the United States than the ba$tard currently in the White House?

Not a freeking chance in he!!

Case closed.

Will was a personal friend of Reagan. As for Palin, what he said is silly considering the people we have elected over the last twenty years, including the current President.
I don’t see any evidence that Palin would be rash. Will should oppose her on policy, stamina and current political realities. In other words he has shown he can do better.

For all the Palin worshipers on here, George Will is a conservative. An Edmund Burke, Ronald Reagan conservative.

I saw it, Will misses the point again.

At this point Will’s opinion on a Palin residency is irrelevent. Palin is not running so all these opinion pieces are irrelevent. You know what it will mean when she finally announces that she is NOT running? That she must have decided ....

So given a choice of voting for Palin or Obama, Will would vote for Obama. I'm a bit surprised that Will has essentially come right out and admitted as much. That is very disappointing.

I wonder how many other members of the GOP "elite" inside the Beltway would also vote Obama if that is choice in 2012?

George Will is a House Republican - like Krathammer, Noonan, Parker, etc. These people make extremely good money working for liberal organizations. They know exactly how long the leash is, and like a well-trained dog, they prefer to get treats for obeying their masters rather than getting their leash yanked.

George Will seems to think American voters are concerned that our nuclear arsenal could fall into the hands of… Sarah Palin

déjà vu?

Wait a minute I remember now

You know, the Dems ran this ad one time paid.. They knew what the reaction would be. The Republicans would be outraged and demand that the ad be pulled. It was but the Dems knew something else and that something else happened.

The MSM "decided" that this was a news item so they ran it free virtually every night on the network news until the election.

“The threshold question, not usually asked, but it’s in everyone’s mind in a presidential election. ‘Should we give this person nuclear weapons?’

Better it be Sarah Palin than a quasi-Muslim Marxist of questionable lineage and questionable loyalty to America, right George? George?

For some reason, your comments -- together with the Beltway Crowd's mischaracterization of Palin -- brings the following Japanese commercial to mind.

Which is worse, giving Palin the keys to the nuclear arsenal or giving the Socialist Obama the ability to appoint socialist Czars and Supreme Court Justices? This country will be destroyed much quicker if Obama is elected to a second term. The devastation and destuction will make it appear that a nuclear weapon hit us, much like parts of Detroit looks now.

Well, it’s going to come down to something as simple as this in Nov of 2016. Who would you fell better giving the “button” to ... Palin or Obama?

George Will needs to take that bowtie and stick it up his ass. He is a sychophant Washington Elite that didn’t have the talent to be a real Democrat pundit so he settled for becoming a tolerable media representation of Republican dissent (mistranslated by many as also having conservative traits)....he is neither Republican, nor conservative. He is an appeasing simp who is pandering to the leftist media for all he’s worth to help sink the Democrats’ worst Conservative (and winning) nightmare since Reagan. He has no honor.

Agreed. Poor fellow may well be the last to know it.

"...is welcome to his opinions...."

Thanks for reminding me of that. We do not have to have "lockstep" like the Dems. But there is (as you say) no way he can be called a conservative. He is well-esconced in the Inside-the-Beltway-cocktail-party scene. And he would never say anything to put that in jeapordy (IMHO).

Here is a copy-and-paste-link to an article saying he is "past his shelf life". LOL

Not until days before the 1980 general election did he write on November 3, 1980 that Reagan deserved election.

That sounds like an official endorsement and those are usually issued right before the election.

It would be extremely surprising if Will hadn't been in Reagan's corner from at least the time Reagan got the nomination.

Certainly it's hard to picture him carrying a torch for Baker or Bush after they left the race.

You may remember the Carter debate briefing book that Will is supposed to have handed on to Reagan's people.

Will's columns have been collected in books that are available in public libraries, and I suspect they'll confirm that he didn't "miss Reagan's rise."

The way things work: Reagan turns out very well, so most Republicans give George W. Bush the benefit of the doubt. Bush turns out not so well, so a lot of Republicans don't give Palin the benefit of the doubt.

What's going on isn't a resistance to Palin as the next Reagan. It's fear of Palin as the next Bush.
