Fox Ups The Ante Against Governor Palin (Now calls her "Contributor Palin")
Sheya.com ^ | Thursday June 2, 2011 | Sheya

Earlier today in a post titled: With Friends Like Fox News Palin Is Better Off With Her Enemies, I wrote about how Fox News is out to take down Governor Palin. I wrote (Emphesis added):

Fox wants Palin out but they don’t want to suspend her contract because by doing so they’ll be conceding that she’s a serious contender. Fox won’t do anything that would lend her credibility. They just want her to resign. The tactic now is to makePalin’s life as difficult and as miserable as possible until Palin just gets frustrated and leaves on her own citing irreconcilable differences. Things are going to get worse. Fox is about to up the ante and it’s going to get ugly.

It didn’t take long. After meeting with Governor Palin yesterday Fox decided to up the ante today. Talking to Carl Cameron on his show today, Shepard Smith announced that fox will now be referring to Governor Palin as “Contributor Palin”.

"Our chief political correspondent, Carl Cameron live tonight, Seacoast New Hampshire. Carl, you are at a what a Clambake with Governor Palin, I should say Contributor Palin"

Later at the 1:08 mark, Shep officially runs with the new title:

"Surprised at all Carl, you have been doing this for decades, surprised at all that “Contributor Palin” would take this shot at the same day that the former Massachusetts Governor announced his candidacy."

So Governor Palin is Contributor Palin now, while Romney is the Former Governor of Massachusetts. Nice.

If you had any doubts of what Fox is up to this should put all those doubts to rest. Fox is out to sabotage Governor Palin. It’s time Palin got out of there, fast.

What interview are you watching? The two are very good friends. Greta has defended her more than anyone else and it’s always a good interview. You need to pay more attention or something.

This enables her to "hide in palin plain sight" -- and in so doing, both tones down the criticisms from the other candidates, and give the rest of the press an excuse to stop hounding her.

It also may slow down some of the opposition research, etc., for a time.

Cheers!

I barely watch Fox news anymore going on over 5 years. Been seeing this coming for years now. I get most of my news from the internet and FOX is the absolute worst at breaking news. Just pitiful really.

Fox Business Varney and Company is the Best show on the Fox Network. I am sure Stuart Varney will have to leave soon.

Watch CNN in protest? Surely you jest. I'd rather take the needle.

Agree with gardencatz. Greta's husband is doing work for “Contributor” Palin.

They made up a title for Sarah Palin? Stupid. Why not just call her Mrs. Palin? (really aren’t supposed to call her Governor any longer) Contributor?! What does that mean?

I wonder what Contributor Huckabee will have to say about this. This really makes no sense. She was a governor.

Shep will always support the candidate who is the most pro-gay, and that’s not Sarah Palin.

Murdoch has always been a cash whore that pandered to lowest denominator. He saw a market that was wide open and filled it. Now, while still appearing conservative, something he has never claimed, by the way. Fair and balanced is what he called it and it was a breath of fresh air at first but he has been trending left ever since. He was a big Hillary Clinton supporter. FOX is and will always be the worst place to get breaking news of a real kind as long as he is in charge. The politics may lean more right than the other networks but it is still not a conservative network and like I said before, has trended leftward for some time to appease a larger audience. I got better things to do than watch Geraldo, Shep and O'Reilly. I would rather put my hand in a blender than watch any of these 3. Better a sister in a whorehouse than watch Geraldo pander to illegals on FOX. Better to be sodomized by goats than watch Mr Mascara Shep pout and cry. Better to drive steel spikes in my eardrums than listen to OBlowhard O'Reilly. I just better things to do than watch any of the TV news anymore other than REAL live breaking news and then FOX sucks. They have the number 1 network in news and still can't figure out what the News in their name means. I now get almost all news off the internet and have been much better served.

What about Karl “Tokyo” Rove, who is clearly a surrogate voice of the Bush Open Borders Family and whoever their candidate du jour is— Does FOX have a name for him? If not “Tokyo,” then how about Apparatchik Rove?? Or, the Sycophant—??

(Bushnik?)

“And for more on this let’s turn to our house Bushnik Karl Rove for some agenda-driven analyis...”

Which really makes Greta a “contributor once removed.” You know, like your cousin Phil’s daughter Nell.
