I’ll keep this short. I’m against gun control. Why? We tried it in Australia. By punishing law abiding citizens, we empowered criminals. Australia was safer in the 1950s when guns were treated as tools.
But I digress. Here’s another unique pro-gun argument made by the satirist P.J. O’Rourke in 2010’s Don’t Vote! It Just Encourages The B******s (page 165, if you must know):
Gun ownership is crucial to the preservation of American freedoms. We may have to shoot Democrats. It happened in 1861 and it could happen again. Just kidding. Sort of. But there are other important arguments in favor of gun ownership. What with the economy being like it is, I call my .38 Special “the MasterCard of the future.”
Some win, others lose in a pro-gun culture, for sure.
Another example: America’s NRA actively empowered African-Americans to fight racist DemoKKKrats.

That’s a perfect way of putting the Democrat’s position.
I have a neighbor who is a gun control nut. He wants NO guns in the U.S. except for law enforcement who would be assigned one when they report for work. I asked him once if he was soooo against gun control, he should put a sign in his yard stating that position. I got silence for about a full minute and then he said,” yeah, but criminals would know that I didn’t have any guns and I could be more of a target”. I rest my case, your Honor.
Ha-ha. He sure knows how to get his point across.

Of course gun control will solve all of the world’s problems. After all, it will prevent an armed rebellion against me. And that is important. When I come in with my draconian laws, nobody will be able to fight back as they won’t have guns. Except criminals, who are my servants anyway.

I made a sign for my husband gun room where he loads bullets and does other gun related stuff except shooting. The sign read:
OWNER IS UNARMED PLEASE DO NOT ROB OR HURT HIM

I was just admiring that myself. We’re probably going to be moving into a subdivision where they’ll expect me to do crap like that and I’m completely clueless on the subject, having grown up in the city.
I bet he complimented your meatloaf and asked if there was anything to do to help you out around the house!! (you know, just to make sure he was on your good side!)
We may soon have to disarm Islamists in the US and constantly search mosques to insure that they are armory free.

Right - you told me once that you hold meetings for conservatives in your closet with room left over!!! Haven’t heard much about our daughter’s friends who moved to your area. Maybe he’s been taken over by the libs - I wouldn’t want to tangle with him myself as he’s one big dude. I think he can hold his own - now there are two more Conservatives in your state.
I’ve seen him in the closet meetings and he send his love. LOL! I am sure by now he is thoroughly disgusted and definitely can hold his own even better.
