Palin can 'snap her fingers' for money, run and beat Obama, warns GOP expert
examiner ^ | June 8th, 2011 | Devonia Smith

Posted on 06/08/2011 2:21:14 PM PDT by GonzoII

How easy would it be for Sarah Palin to raise enough money to run and beat Obama? A GOP expert today claims all Palin would have to do is, "Snap her fingers," with a warning that Democrats should be careful what they wish for. Thus, on Fox News today, the fight was on when Ben Chao, a Democrat who boasted that his "firm beats Republicans for a living," tried first to make light of Democrat losses in the 2010 election and finally quipped, "I dream about Sarah Palin," as an opponent to President Obama in 2012.

In a quick warning to all Democrats who bluff that Palin would be an easy win for Obama but Romney would make for a tough match, Dee Dee Benkie, expert GOP strategist, narrowed her eyes and cautioned, "Be careful what you wish for. It's funny how the Democrats keep beating up on Sarah Palin. I just think that's curious."

...snip

"Snap her finger, she will raise a ton of money," responded Benkie with smug confidence, adding, "if she gets in - and I think she's in."

When Benkie was asked if Sarah Palin was "ready" to be president, Benkie didn't hesitate, "Yes, of course. And I think she would beat Obama."

When Benkie fielded the inevitable subject of how polarizing Sarah Palin is ,of polls showing independents would never vote for Palin ,she quickly dismissed that subject with, "Who cares about those people? That's fine. Those people are not going to vote for her. The key is, it is a challenge for the independents, but she will motivate the base, will over-produce with the base, so you cannot count out Sarah Palin."

I am waiting until she declares because I got suckered by Fred Thompson last time.

Sarah Palin has 3,110,659 followers on Facebook. That is 1% of the U.S. population.

She posts a “I need $2,000,000 to buy blanket radio ad in Iowa, please send $1 to my PAC” and she will be running a $10,000,000 money bomb in 24 hours.

Politicians still don’t get how powerful social network sites are.

Dang, 2DVet didn’t catch this one??? Good work ;-)

The key word here is “bluff”. That’s all this talk about “Palin can’t win” is - a big bluff they hope will discourage her from running. If she were a conventional politician who gave a damn about polls and punditry, it might.

But she’s not. Game on!

She is obviously the strongest candidate, or the media would ignore her. They will prop up Romney/Pawlenty/Huck until they get the nomination, and then destroy them. That’s a fact. They did it to McCain.

The independants broke heavily for Obama last time, and I can cut them some slack because he was new, it was ‘novel’ to vote for a black man to finally prove they are not racist as the media says they are, and they were LIED TO (about Bush’s record and Obama)

After two years of the media and pelosi hammering about the ‘failed bush administration’ they have gotten it sunk so far in people’s heads that they are STILL repeating that nonsense.

These people will NOT be fooled again. (most of them, at least) And they turst the liberal media FAR LESS than they did.

Independants are independants because they dont trust R’s or D’s.

And they sure got taught a lesson not to trust this particular D

Yes, and we have some fairly decent conservatives considering a run this time, imho. Maybe we won’t have to choose “the lesser of 2 evils” or “hold our nose while pulling the lever”, etc. I say Palin/DeMint with an awesome cabinet made up of the other guys. (There’s my dream team.)

When the Country is faced with an Obama vs. Palin decision...

SARAH WINS HANDS DOWN!..if not...This country didn't stand a chance anyway.....Some may have to hold their nose to vote for her....because 70-80% of the truly independent voters will vote in their OWN BEST INTEREST....and they will!...

My only concern is a 3rd party spoiler for her...Watch this closely..if there is a 3rd party....lets make sure its a liberal..

Maybe you don’t get it either. Groups and such on FB are nothing, they don’t matter a bit.

The fact is that I have around 400 friends (actual people I know) who range all over the political spectrum. Almost none of them are in any of the groups I am part of on FB.

And yet I can, with a couple of clicks, place a posting on their wall by linking it over.

I can communicate with my “group” immediately and efficiently without any effort on their part.

Most people who vote for a politician do so for one of two reasons:

1. They like the advertisements of the candidate
2. Their friends support the candidate

What the social networking sites do is make the second reason much more available for a candidate who knows how to quickly communicate through the medium.

Palin does that very, very well. Short, concise, black and white statements of the days events. You know where she stands and why in less than 300 words for the most part.

She gets it. Others don’t.

^THIS^ x 1,000,000. Which is something the Roves, the Krauthammers, the Frums and the MittBots all fail to understand, even remotely: there is only ONE potential candidate for 2012 capable of successfully marshalling THAT level of support, from Day One...

... AND: that said support is absolutely, positively not automatically "transferable" upon RNC demand to the Romney or Pawlenty of their choice. Not even if they (and all their paid online sycophants and apologists) all hop up and down like amphetamined spider monkeys and shriek "OBAMA OBAMA OBAMA BOOGA BOOGA BOOGA -- !!!" at us, from now until Election Day.

Period. End of sentence. End of paragraph.

Love the Gov. BUT... the converse of this fact is that she will reduce the funds and volunteers for lower tier conservative candidates. To some extent.

Yeah I’d like to see her run, but I’m sanguine that we win whether there’s a conservative at the top of the ticket or a Rino, brcause with a Rino at the top conservatives will hammer a lot of conservatives into the lower tier positions.
