Trend forecaster Gerald Celente of the Trends Journal advises subscribers of his quarterly newsletter that the collapse is on it’s way and will become apparent to the population of the entire world in short order.

While pundits argue over whether or not a double dip recession is coming, many on the street have finally begun to realize that another recession is the least of our problems.

You needed to be stocking up on food guns, ammo, basic household supplies like soap, papergoods, cleaning supplies, good sturdy clothes including extra socks, underwear and extra shoes and boots, a extra couple changes of oil and filters for your car, tools, things you buy everyday start buying two and put one up.

I think that we are at the very least in for a collapse much like that of Argentina’s ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yerKMQc7-w&feature=grec_index), but as a armed society with a very large entitlement minded population our collapse will be much more violent and I see many many small business wiped out by flash mob looting, and large scale violence (look at what happened just this past Memorial Day weekend)and then there is this is going on in Chicago:”Emanuel said he spoke with McCarthy over the weekend and again this morning about the situation. The mayor said the city’s reputation as a safe place to work and shop downtown is being endangered by the thuggery. And it’s not just Chicago most major big ‘Blue’ cities are increasingly reporting such flash mobs and gang muggings.

I see what I call ‘Pocket Pogroms’ taking place in many big ‘Blue’ cities and if you aren’t a “0bamamites’ yute” it’s going to get Reginald Denny bad for you very quickly.

Why?

Everyone keeps saying that as if we're (rural folks) waiting with open arms. What the heck are you going to do when you get here? We all know each other...you'll just be a troublesome unknown outsider with zero supplies.

You may want to consider staying where there's people you know, eh? Get yourself stocked up while you're at it, you may get some unwanted visitors too.

Exactly! I am also surprised that people think folk in the rural areas (as well as in the ‘Southern Hemisphere countries’ stated in the post by Brulee quoting that coast to coast station) would be willing to help. Why would they? Sure, the invaders (and that is how they will be seen) will probably be armed, but so will the people already living in those regions, and they know the area much better. Sure, the National Guard/Army/etc would be involved at some level, but consider that the S will be hitting the fan, and thus it will not be a simple Afghanistan/Iraq issue (and that issue was not ‘simple’ in any case, considering the ultimate sacrifices many brave men had to make). Thus, why would anyone assume people will be needing extra mouths to feed, particularly mouths that will not be able to do much to help (I doubt a New Yorker from Manhattan would be much help in a ranch, or if a ‘pretty girl’ from the Valley would be much help in the fields ...although I am sure other duties could be found that would not be PC in the modern world but would probably be happening in a SHTF scenario ....sad bad things). I feel that is one major assumption that is so totally wrong it couldn’t be more so! Particularly considering how, in the current state of things, people from Southern States are seen as stupid sots by people from the ‘bigger cities,’ and people from the Southern Hemisphere countries are seen as vermin. Hard to anticipate welcome mats when (and IF) things change.

I think the ideal is to get to a rural area BEFORE the SHTF. I’m trying to figure out how to do it.
