So apparently Mavericks fans don't know how to properly celebrate a championship. They're dancing in the streets, cheering, and generally just having fun.
No reports of violence, no cars burning, in short tens of thousands of fans and no riots.
Do have some idiots parking on I35 to look over the parade. That's about the worst of it.
C'mon, Dallas. Haven't we learned anything from LA about how to celebrate a championship or Vancouver about how to riot?
Man, these Texans...
/HEAVY sarcasm!

Sounds like they’re taking a page from the San Antonio Spurs fans on how to be classy in celebrating victory. You’re welcome, Dallas.

Boston also has a history of post-win riots but certainly not in the same league as LA or BC. More like riot-lite. Just Google Kenmore Square Riot.
Yup! Gee, wonder if there is some common denominator?
>>Oh, and the fact there was no rioting in Dallas Sunday night and there were no real issues today (so far). <<
Well Dallas had one of the greatest coaches in any sport in all time. Tom Landry said it best when he famously told his players “if you get in the end zone, act like you have been there before.”
Congrats to Dallas.
if you get in the end zone, act like you have been there before.
Always loved that line!
Watching the team on the balcony of the American Airlines Center, waving at the masses in the plaza below, with Dirk on the mike leading them in an off-key version of “We Are the Champions.”
Absolutely priceless.
Seriously?
Dallas has had more championship parades than San Antonio has missions, and we’re always classy.
You’re talking to the pros, bub.
Does this mean Texans are more civilized than Canadians?
The types that will do this are probably there somewhere. Give them time. Savages are everywhere now. And that is not a racial reference; but a cultural one.
Dallas used to have a football team that accounts for the vast majority of y’all’s parades. We’re still three up on you in NBA rings - maybe even 4, if Cuban sticks with his, “No, fellas, I think BRACELETS would look really sweeet!!” line.
:-D
The players are demanding rings, and they’ll get them.
San Antonio can’t touch this:

Dallas had the good sense to schedule the parade when the trouble-makers are still asleep - 10:00 a.m.
Ah, but we’re all pikers when compared to the youts of France and their car-b-ques.
Like I told Vancouver
Put. The. Brick. Down. Rioting is for closers.
I won’t post the vids of Spurs celebrations, it’d be too painful for you. I do love Dirk Notivzky - classy guy with guts and a truly awful voice! Enjoy it, FRiend.
