What Keeps Gates Up at Night

Hint: It’s not what you think. In his exit interview with Chris Wallace, soon to be former Defense Secretary Bob Gates told Wallace what he worries about the most. And, no it’s not Islamic terrorism.

It’s us!

Gates bemoaned the loss of bipartisanship in DC as our biggest problem. When asked by Wallace what he worries about as he looks to the future, the Secretary didn’t mention the two new wars that Obama has dragged America into. He didn’t mention the rise of home grown jihadism. Or the war in Afghanistan. Nope, it’s not Pakistani nukes either. Nor is it Iran’s nukes. Our crushing debt? No worries there, either.

What Bob Gates worries about is the loss of some imaginary bipartisanship in Washington. Which is code for Republicans need to shut up and go along with Obama.

Not surprised. I won't trust or credit anyone who serves voluntarily under the likes of Obama.

A confluence of interests, I think. Gates was CIA director, and later served as Deputy National Security Adviser for G.H.W. Bush, who himself had served as D/CIA back in 1976. Both men are members of the Council on Foreign Relations (Progressive internationalists). Gates also was the interim Dean of the George Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University from 1999 to 2001.

But don't fret: Leon Panetta will be a big improvement... /sarc. Just when you think it can't get any worse with this Administration... it does.
