In other words, it doesn't say what we (liberals) want it to say, so let's ignore it. That said, it's not like it's a gray area or anything, it's quite clear that homosexual acts are sinful. So are a lot of other things that normal people do - which is why we all need a savior. Since you can't celebrate your sins on one hand and get forgiveness for them on the other, homos are in a tough spot salvation-wise.

Hate the sin, but love the sinner?

To not warn Sinners (yes, this includes Homosexuals/Sodomites) of the wrath to come - if they don't repent and turn - is unconscionable. It would be analogous to not warning someone who was driving towards a cliff, or taking off on a voyage in a boat with a gaping hole at the waterline, that he was doomed unless he turned back and changed his travel plans.

Tough love might entail telling someone something they don't like to hear. Cowardice, and hatred, is letting someone march off to their doom without a warning.
