Any remaining doubt that Media Matters reason-for-being is to take down FOX News? Check this out. Turns out the progressive, non-profit watch dog website has a FOX News "war room" that operates in four separate shifts from the hours of 5am to 1am. According to FishbowlDC, they employ specific teams that focus on Glenn Beck's radio and television show. Considering those folks will be out of a job come the end of the week -- Beck's last show is Friday -- and Media Matters

We got ‘em beat by 4 hours a day. :-)
And the other four hours, they what? Wring their hands? Drink Kool Aid?
Actually Beck’s last show is Thursday but I suspect he’s going to smack the hornet’s nest before he’s done.
“And the other four hours, they what? Wring their hands? Drink Kool Aid?”
I could say it but this is, after all, a family oriented web-site!
Has it got anything to do with being “the master of your domain”?
Any remaining doubt that Media Matters is the true threat to freedom of speech?
Sad to see Beck go. Someone needs to show this article to Roger Ailes. This makes him look like a wuss.
Beck was a nice break from the O Reilly/Hannity formula, he worked up the liberals more than any of them could. He was the only one that talked about how food and energy prices would rise, and how the government couldnt successfully re-inflate the housing bubble.
Media Matters is the Propaganda arm of the Communist Party
Last week Bill O'Reilly encouraged viewers to challenge the site's tax-exempt status and subsequently the Fox Nation website is running a post entitled: 'Want to File an IRS Complaint Against Media Matters? Click Here...'
Missing Glenn Beck on daily radio for sure...Talk Radio isn’t the same without him.
Started listening to him Day One when he came to Philly Talk Radio back in 2001, and it sucks that the scum on the left have been able to force him off - and the cowards on our side cave in and let it happen.
They’re tax exempt so this type of “war on Fox” is illegal and there “should” be an immediate tax audit and possible prosecution of the violators.
That said, they ARE a propaganda arm of the democrat party and it is highly doubtful that anything will happen; even if both houses and the WH go GOP next year. The GOP elite has never had the nads nor the inclination to raise and maintain a political fight, choosing instead to be “gentlemen” (now violently retching at that thought).
This is why we need a really conservative network. Fox has leftists on staff and most are moderates.
A real conservative network would give them fits.
I think you must mirror their activism. We need, a paid professional staff to counter and publish a response to their attacks. AND- a legal arm to find ways to attack their sponsors.
Time for We the People to form a conservative cable TV network. We’re outnumbered 30 to 1 now and FOX keeps getting more moderate. Now Beck leaving. Is Pravda winning, or are there some media/entrepreneur types out there willing to take this on? If we had a billion, (or whatever it took),I bet we could get enough FReepers to put this together.
Did anyone see Chris Wallace leaving their premises last week?
I totally agree, but who is the conservative Soros counterpart/Sugar Daddy to bankroll it? Liberals seem far better at raising cash for sustained political activism than conservatives. Where are the big conservative foundations equal to Ford and Rockefeller to hand out right wing cash?
I gave up o Reilly and RINO/RNC Hannity years ago but Cavuto and Beck are my favorites, Megyn Kelly rings my bell too as more of a non-partision reporter type,
Try Fox Business Channel.
LOL! Does it have a hot tub?
Well, if FOX NEWS has a war room, then I am Glenn Beck/sarc
I wonder how much more wacky these left-wing conspiracy theorists get sometimes, but frankly, I don’t have time to know.
One name came to mind when I read this,George Soros. If you don’t know much about him(I’m sure you do) look him up.An Evil person who gives millions to liberal causes and hates America.
They are missing Red Eye~!!
What a gay looking trio.
Media Matters has been paying leftwing hacks to monitor Rush, Sean, etc for years. This shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone.
They also have folks who comment on the Fox News website, with a lot of leftist bilge.
I can't form a cable network, but I can support Beck in his GBTV. If it's successful, this may be the next new network.
” cowards on our side cave in and let it happen. “
Correction, my good FRiend....they were NEVER on our side.
/LOL Possibly....
Yes, I am too. I hope it evolves into something big, especially before the election.
What about Heritage, Cato, Trump (if he's for real), and other conservative groups joining together and really researching a conservative channel. Sorely needed, and just like Glenn's audiences on TV and Tea Party folk everywhere - people are thirsting to get conservative info and get organized. As I've said before, I think they could easily get ad revenue. I could think of 20 topics and 10 people right off the bat that would make the channel fly. I'm sure big time media people could put this together - if they had the funding. Can't you just see Rush and Levin on TV? I know they don't like TV, but there are plenty of conservative voices out there that could use a TV venue. Sounds like a winner to me.
Watch Red Eye?
If you knew Rupert Murdoch, who owns Fox News, you would know that he definitely is not on our side. As for Glenn, I figure he will still keep publishing his books onward after that.
You guys both it right...they were NEVER one side...
F***k ‘em. We’re on our own, and we’re all we need.
Were on our own, and were all we need.
Exactly, Exactly.
The big thing at least Beck does right, is that he never seems to sit in the same major network for long. I believe he moved from CNN to FoxNews, to wherever else he’ll be over not so much time.
I think Beck’s last day is Thursday.
Amen, brother!
You’re kidding, right? They’ve got gay marriage in NY and CA, They’ve got gays openly in the military. They have driven down Sarah’s numbers into the toilet and they got Glenn Beck’s advertisers to drop him. That’s the things off the top of my head without thinking.
:(
It has nothing to do with Ailes. MM went to the advertisers and threaten boycotts, negative on-line campaigns. etc. and the advertisers caved.
Well, Shepard Smith has 2 hours, so that leaves 22 hours....
Yeah, no one’s conservative enough. You tell ‘em.
I know.
You don’t know what Media Matters is. Their focus is strictly to shut down media outlets. FOX is stronger than ever and that is there primary focus. Glenn had advertisers and that was not the reason he left. Gay marriage in CA was voted against by the people. New Yorkers were not even given the option. It was forced on them against polling to the contrary.
Point me to one Media Matters success.
Thanks sickoflibs.
Yes, That started way back in 2009 but Beck still got sponsors they couldnt intimidate, Goldline was an example. My guess is that Ailes thought Beck didnt fit in with the rest of the network (as well as the sponsor problem) , and beck certainly defied the convention. Compare Beck with RINO/Hannity.
There were some of his shows I absolutely loved, but others bored me to death. He would pick single theme and do it for days and days. When he played vids of Democrats and used humor he was at his best.
You are correct. Almost all of the dimocrats and many of the Republicans have been purchased or intimidated into being enemies of the Constitution, the people, and our country.
If they weren’t, they’d put up a fight and NOT put up chosen-to-lose candidates like Dole and McCain nor NWO candidates like the Bushes. And we wouldn’t be in the extremely deep pile of carp in which we find ourselves today.
The only solution is to vote the NWO/RINO/Country Clubbers out of office, one at a time.
Indeed, and I would add, "and carefully vet their replacements' voting history, not their campaign rhetoric."
