We are either going into a Depression or Hyperinflation. The Dollar will be coming down and things will get tough. The Government is inflating the stock market along with the banks. The quiet before the storm. I feel it in my bones that we are on the brink of something big and bad. Get your S*#t together. The end of QE2, pushing the Debt Ceiling , Greece, Spain, Japan....all coming to a head. This scenario may begin this week considering the most recent report that the Greek military is threatening a military coup if parliment imposes more austerity measures. So its either default of revolution resulting in default.

I can't see a convential war along the lines of a civil war breaking out. The demographics are so mixed. Where do you draw the lines? It will amount to small militias versus flash mobs. "Call to arms - twitter says there's group of 70 YOOTS headed towards the Safeway and our food supplies..."

It wouldn't be news of distant battles, it would be in our neighborhoods.

Now you see why the subject is so perversely interesting. There are already casualties, but through a proxy war fought by illegal aliens and the bureaucracy (the miliary is more on our side, but neutered). Territory is geographically Red State Blue state, but more importantly virtual cyber territory.

Start thinking about how the new boundaries are drawn, it is still a civil war but very different than CWI given cyber resources, cyber cash, new media, proxy combatants, etc.

Not around here. Plenty of freepers have already stocked up on precious metals, guns & ammo, gardens, canned goods, etc. Where you been?

Have at least 6 months worth of food, plenty of gold and silver/ AND / plenty of lead. Also have a couple of caves I know of where I can live for a few years if necessary. Lots of game nearby.
