“This town ain’t big enough for the few of us…”

CBS says President Obama “abruptly” left the debt negotiations meeting with Congress. He said “enough’s enough” and that he had been “very patient.”

During the meeting, Speaker of the House John Boehner reportedly challenged the President to offer real spending cuts. He said the gimmicks and accounting tricks that Washington has used for decades are not applicable here, according to the GOP aide.

When White House officials allegedly attempted to justify budgetary gimmicks, the House Speaker John Boehner said pointedly and, “We’re not doing that anymore,” according to the GOP aide.

Politico has details of the stormy exchange between Eric Cantor and Barack Obama.

President Barack Obama abruptly walked out of a stormy debt-limit meeting with congressional leaders Wednesday, throwing into serious doubt the already shaky negotiations, according to GOP sources …

“Eric, don’t call my bluff,” the president said, warning Cantor that he would take his case “to the American people.” He told Cantor that no other president — not Ronald Reagan, the president said — would put up with the treatment he was getting from the House majority leader. …

“He shoved back and said ‘I’ll see you tomorrow’ and walked out,” House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) told reporters in the Capitol after the meeting.

Despite the drama, nobody has cleared political leather yet. Things are still in a stage similar to those Sergio Leone showdowns. The camera focuses on Lee Van Cleef’s eyes. It cuts away to Clint Eastwood’s. Then back to Van Cleef. Back to Eastwood. Then a closeup of Van Cleef’s six-gun. Then a long shot of both gunfighters circling each other. Then back to Eastwood and then … so it goes for an interminable period. All the while the tension builds as Enrico Morricone’s score reaches a climax and then … and then … the camera switches to Eli Wallach.

“You see in this world there are two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns and those who dig.”

Who knows what’s going to happen next? Nobody. But it sure is epic.

It can’t be epic when the main character is a petty little POUTUS.

0bama didn’t “shove back” and leave, he scooched back a bit in an effeminate way and asked one of his lackey to help support his limp wrist and boost him up out of the big-boy chair so he could take his ball and run away to the relative safety of Moochelle’s skirt.

0bama is a pansy and deserves scorn and ridicule, followed by a prison sentence.

I didn`t know Leone directed `A Fistful of Golf Balls,` or even `Once Upon a Time in the West Wing.` But Ennio Morricone is too hardcore for Obama, he should only be accompanied by the music of Barbara Streisand or Celine Dion.

For the first time in his life, someone is telling Obama “No”.

This has never happened to him before; and he is flummoxed.

Boehner put it best...like trying to nail down Jell-O.

Obama is incapable of hearing the word “No”; incapable of making a decision. He has no ‘gravitas’ (remember that MSM meme?).

Completely out of his depth in any role other than Dictator.

Yes I do. I remember posting that the composition of "gravitas" came from Gravy-TASS. Gravy meaning political swag, money received in kick-backs and "donations" and such. TASS meaning the infamous Telegraph Agency of the Soviet Union. See http://www.itar-tass.com/en/

I was getting out of my car for new-moon lunch at a Philly-suburb Chinese restaurant run by Chinese ex-pats from the Fuzhou area as I heard Rush Limbaugh use the riff on his show. Cool.

He was asked for details about “his play”. Zero was speechless because the teleprompter was blank. Zero left in a huff to consult his bosses. He was going to take his case to the people? What case, what plan, what, what ... I think the speaker asked him that.

Can that really be true?

"But it sure is epic."

It's not EPIC yet.

Let's see how things look come Aug 1st.

I say Obama is bluffing. He'll fold like a cheap lawn chair.

I guess it sounds too good to be true. It's surreal watching this unfold.

he [the "progressive" community organizer] would take his case “to the American people.” He told Cantor that no other president — not Ronald Reagan, the president said — would put up with the treatment he was getting from the House majority leader.

A major straw man.

This ignorant poseur doesn't know how dumb he truly is. It's breathtaking.

Ronald reagan had too much class and experience ever to be exposed to the possibility of being treated as a moron. He was incapable of acting like an arrogant ignorant fool.

Ronald reagan was never in the remotest position to be dissed.
