Michele Bachmann Tells Reporter: “You Need to Get Out of My Way, Sir” – Video 7/20/11

Here is video of GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann answering reporters’ questions in Iowa while walking. You can hear a reporter trying to get ahead of her and in position to ask her a question. But he made the mistake of getting in Bachmann’s way! Bachmann, politely but firmly, said to him as she kept walking, “You need to get out of my way, Sir.” He did! She never missed a beat, kept right on talking as the reporter followed behind her!

All politics aside in terms of whether she is the best person to nominate in 2012, Bachmann has shown to be a quick study, and has developed into a very effective leader and communicator. I have been incredibly impressed with her over the past couple months. My only real criticism are these stupid unforced errors in her speech prep - the Lexington/Concord error and John Wayne fauxpas. This is probably more an issue with her speech writers than her, and she needs to avoid more of such events in the future.

I give ANY conservative kudos for getting our message out unapologetically. Thank you, Michelle!

She better be careful with episodes such as this; I could fall for her and Mrs. Grunthor wouldn’t be pleased.

She’s not my candidate and IMO someone with zero executive experience should not be running for president.

But you are right, she has some real skills in communication and presentation and on her feet.

In these days we are looking for people of genuine character and anti-communist idiology — as trumping ideal levels of experience.

Warning to Ms. Bachmann. Watch out for the RINO candidates. They are doing their best to sabotage you and your campaign. The migraine headache attack did not come from the Dems as best I can tell.

Michele Bachmann as of today is the only candidate for POTUS that shows any fortitude for maintaining conservative values without wavering.

Oh, I give Palin all the advantage on genuine character and think Bachmann has many exploitable holes in her candidacy, which is why the Dems, the MSM and GOP Establishment felt so comfortable plumping her as the non-Palin conservative alternative.

Palin is the real deal that they don’t want to face—and there’s good reason for that.

Boy, talk about a non-issue. She curtly tells him to step aside and he does. Then she continues to answer his question.

I love Michele...she seems tough and uncompromising. Her conservative values don’t change with the weather.

You are quite right. Character is the most important trait for a president.

Jimmy Carter and FDR had plenty of “executive experience”.

How did Palin get dragged into this post about Michelle telling a reporter to step aside?

“In these days we are looking for people of genuine character and anti-communist idiology — as trumping ideal levels of experience.”

Yes, but in Palin we can have BOTH. Michele can only survive if Palin and Goodhair stay out of the race (less and less likely).

Thanks for the note of sanity. `Wow did you see her? She walked and talked at the same time!` As for character being more important than ex9perience in the most powerful job on Earth, I can only s hake my head at how low we`ve come in the party of high standards as opposed to the touchy feely dems. The personality cult-think that got us Obama is now setting the bar for our candidates.

Well, If she was a Democrat she would have had a couple union thugs just shove the reporter to the ground so she could step on him.

I originally posted agreeing with the praise for Bachmann’s communications skills, but said I didn’t think someone with zero executive experience should be running for president.

Mr. Leland said he was among those valuing character and anticommunist ideology over experience.

I in turn pointed out that Palin IMO trumped Rep. Bachmann on the character count anyway and was the real threat to Romney and the nomination for which Bachmann was getting built up by the MSM and GOP Establishment.

That’s how Gov. Palin got brought in to the discussion.

I like both. I think Bachmann has a bit more life experience.

I prefer my presidents to be over 50. There’s not a president under 50 that has been worth a damn in the last 100 years.

While it’s always preferable to have someone with executive experience in the role as president, I believe she is an exception to the rule. She has strong leadership abilities, she is clearly focused, and her policies are in line with Constitutional principles.
