Anders Behring Breivik character does not fit a mass murderer.

He loved the free market and what I find really odd was his writings he is always polite and courteous. Has anyone that was out to kill masses of people ever been polite and courteous?

Breivik gives no signs of taking the law into his own hands or anything close to it in any of his writings.

The only action he wanted to take in these writings was getting his message out through publication.

Anders Behring Breivik writings

Here is a quote from Breivik: “National Socialism has always been an extreme left ideology then why are they trying constantly to strategically place it on the right side? If you hate capitalism and the free market, such as Marxists, Nazis and Islamists do, attained the left side, period.”
He quotes the web sites “Gates of Vienna”, “Jihad Watch”, Littlegreenfootballs.com, Danelpipes.org, Global Politician, atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com. If anyone on this site thinks these sites are fringe sites you are in the wrong place.

Breivik would have to change a great deal in a year in order to walk in the shoes of John Brown or Timothy McVeigh believing his actions would spark a revolt.
Both McVeigh and Brown had no quorums of stating their actions before they did them. He gave no indication what so ever he crossed the line.

Yeah he was a Mason but they are not murderers.

Anders Behring Breivik character does not fit a mass murderer.

The character of this individual is critical here.
Can you add to this? Is there any indication Anders Behring Breivik fell off the edge in the last year after these writings?

Outside of “virtual” relationships on the internet, did ABB have any living, breathing friends?

In the world of gravity and oxygen, was he a loner?

There are plenty folks with serious social disabilities who are able to communicate on the internet via keyboard in a way they can never do face to face. I've seen it, and it's amazing. For millions, the internet provides literally their only “social life.” But in the flesh, they are totally isolated. I have close knowledge of this, and it's truly Jekyll and Hyde, the online vs the in-person personality. The internet is a boon to millions of socially isolated people.

But...this knife cuts both ways.

Was ABB able to “pass as neurotypical” online, while concealing the extent of his mental illness?

It’s only been a day. Let’s wait until the whole story comes out.

Seems a little self-righteous to me. BUT, we are still assuming all of this is really his versus the tons of other stuff out there. Too early to know what is real, especially as the fake stuff (like fake Facebook pages) are being weeded out.

I wonder if ABB ever attended this camp as a youth and if not how he learned of it, selected it for his soft target.

He "loved" the free market? Is there any indication of that? I'd say he accepted it within bounds but wasn't especially in love with it. Certainly he was critical of libertarian indifference to borders and support for mass immigration.

"He was polite and courteous. He was such a quiet man" is usually what you hear about someone who goes postal. I'm not saying he definitely did it, but noisy people have an outlet. It's the quiet and mannerly ones who blow up.

Anders Behring Breivik’s posts on Document.no

not a manifesto, but might help.

Excerpt:

“Had Western Europe and the U.S. decided to imprison all Marxists (Nazis and Marxists) after WW2 and swearing Marxist principles of hate ideology similar to Nazism, we had never been in the current situation. But we learn at least as long as we live. I doubt that a future patriotic regime will make that mistake again, if we manage to save the West before it is too late ...:-)”

I have a vague recollection of there being discovered a brain tumor in the head of the shooter in that tower in Austin, long ago. It’s early days yet on this and surely there’s more to be discovered. Any word on whether Anders B. Breivik is actually talking to police now that he’s been captured?

The narrative on this Breivik guy just isn’t adding up.

In fact, there is so much about this guy that makes no earthly sense, that it’s almost certain that something truly heinous is afoot with this incident.

That said, the operators have truly bungled the central foundations of their caper, because they’ve failed to provide any sort of credible linkage to this man’s purported character, and such a violent act as this.

At the moment, I’m trying to figure out who benefits from this? Anti-gunners? The hard left? The muslim invasion of Scandinavia? Who?

Someone who knows this guy is going to have to come forward and corroborate or deny what we’re being told about him. Until we know who (and what) he really is, we can’t make heads or tails of why he did this, and what possible objective he could have had.

I read through his stuff, seemed to have been largely uneducated beyond his obsession with Islam. Ultimately he got radicalized in such a way, that overnight he went after a bunch of children and the Parliament.

It doesn’t seem related to his writings, people write stupid shit all the time, they might go out for “clobbering time” or some other fit of lunacy.

What he did was unheard of,he came up with a complex plan to attack designated places some miles apart.

There seems to be something amiss in the writings that are claimed to be his. In my opinion, rather than the writings of a conservative, the writings claimed to be his that I've seen so far, seem to be SIMULATIONS of the writings of what a LEFTist thinks would pass as conservative thought rather than the actual writings themselves. It's almost as if the author is trying a bit too hard to convince everyone he's a conservative. To me, ABB's writings are a bit too pat.

Further, there are just far too many modern and up-to-date buzzwords used throughout the writings. It seems that about the only thing missing from the writings are numerals used in place of letters to simulate "le3t spe4k".

I openly admit to loathing the LEFT, not ever forgetting to forgiving them and as a result, my judgment might be jaded. But someone has to say something about modern-era LEFTists running around the Reichstag with cans of gasoline and matches.

That happens in the movies. The analogies to this guy is John Brown and McVeigh.

Interpreting the ruminations of a probably psycho, especially when language issues are factored, is way above my paygrade.

For now, I want to stick to Jack Webb. “Just the facts, ma’am.”

I thought this writing by the perp was interesting:

“I myself am a Protestant and baptized / confirmed to me by my own free will when I was 15

But today’s Protestant church is a joke. Priests in jeans who march for Palestine and churches that look like the minimalist shopping centers. I am a supporter of an indirect collective conversion of the Protestant church back to the Catholic. In the meantime, I vote for the most conservative candidates in church elections.

The only thing that can save the Protestant church is to go back to basics.”

Obviously, he was more committed to structure and organization than to Christ.

The Univ. of Texas tower shooter definitely did have a brain tumor:

A glioblastoma, which is a highly aggressive brain tumor, was discovered during autopsy; experts on the "Connally Commission" concluded it may have played a role in his actions.

Agreed. None-the-less, like body parts, everyone has an opinion. :)

As I said on another thread, its way too soon and over the next while a lot more information will come to light. That should give us better insight into ABB.
