Full-Court-Press Russians Slapping Obama Around Like a Rag Doll...
Reaganite Republican ^ | July 26, 2011 | Reaganite Republican

Anyone naively hoping for Obama's failed Russia policy to work out might be forgiven- I too thought we could forge a far more constructive relationship with them back in the early 90's... then again in the wake of 9/11, considering the common enemies that emerged. But years after those harsh lessons in Russian intransigence and strategic opportunism, you'd think the current administration might have known a little better than to just waltz into the Kremlin and try to lay some hopenchange on 'em... and with no 'Plan B' in sight.

Wishful thinking aside, if Russia isn't a full-blown enemy of the United States today, they do about the best imitation of one I've ever seen. Accomplished Machiavellian snake Vladimir Putin recently violated the spirit -if not letter- of a UN arms embargo they were party to by selling advanced anti-aircraft missile systems to Tehran through straw-purchaser Venezuela in a deal that includes the construction of Iranian-operated missile sites on the northern coast of South America (!).

Russia has its interests, America (should) have its interests. These two countries do NOT share all the same interests. We shouldn’t expect to get “buddy-buddy” with a country whose self interests oftentimes conflicts with ours.

Let's not overlook the predictions of previous Russian leaders, including Gorbachev, about the long-term goals of socialism and of how America might/would cooperate in those goals.

Ideas which may have seemed impossible decades ago may seem more likely in 2011, unless "the People" are awakened, alert and asserting their sovereignty accorded by their Constitution's provisions.

“Tehran through straw-purchaser Venezuela in a deal that includes the construction of Iranian-operated missile sites on the northern coast of South America (!).

Now Georgia has produced unsettling evidence of a Russian intelligence agent’s involvement in a series of Georgian bombings, including the Sept. 2010 blast next to the US Embassy in Tbilisi- a direct attack on American territory/property,”
///
Even under Bush, we captured Iranians IN Iraq. and found clear evidence, that Iran was sending “improvised” IED’s to the Taliban and Al-Queda.

IRAN is building those missile sites in South America.

...sure, Russia is being an opportunist. they have their own goals. but WE dropped the ball on Iran. We should have taken care of that, years ago, when Iran was clearly responsible for killing OUR troops ! Not Russia.

Or, how about our “ALLY” Pakistan ?
Or our “ALLY” Saudi Arabia, who builds mosques and exports wahhabism all over the world, including Kosovo.
...I’m not saying you can’t criticise Russia. but it’s a question of priorities. the few things Russia has done, isn’t even the top ten. and frankly, i don’t blame them,
for getting what they can, because Obama is a weak traitor.

- - -
“Yet regardless of Obama’s ongoing attempts to make nice with the Russians -selling out allies like Poland and the Czech Republic in the process- the Kremlin has continued to put itself on the opposite side of almost any issue/rivalry/conflict that could possibly provide advantage- be it military, diplomatic, or economic.”
///
Russian is on the other side, in Libya. Where as in Egypt, our President Obama, is helping to oust a dictator, by HELPING Islamists, including Al-Quada.
(Al-Jazeera had an interview, which admitted this. Plus our own government reports support this.)
Gaddafi had been giving us intelligence info, about Al-Queda recruits from Benghazi, which our our reports said was the most active recruiting area IN THE WORLD.
...so guess who is fighting Gaddafi as “rebels” ?

This is the SAME thing Obama did in Egypt, inviting the banned Muslim Brotherhood specifically to his speech in Egypt, meeting them in the WH, then helping to remove our ALLY Mubarak, which allows the M.B. to take control of the Egyptian military, including 1000 M1 tanks.

Putin even advised us to cut back our runaway spending, long BEFORE Standard and Poors did.
in that statement, Putin PRAISED the free market capitialist system of the USA.
and warned us, that we were going MORE socialist,
Putin advised us to learn from Russia’s mistakes !

yes, he has his own interests. but i’d hardly call that the act of a “full-blown” enemy.
(again, especially compared to what Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, China, and others are getting away with.)

Oh, I agree fully about Iran and what should be done... John Bolton’s outlined it well I believe lol

But the only candidates discussing Iran are Bachmann and (was) Trump... that’s about it.

As for the Venezeulan bases, yeah Iran is building them but they couldn’t have done it without the Russian S-300s they are not supposed to be able to buy

“The government-owned company they insisted we use -Rosoboronexport- tacked “at least” $4M to each of the $15M helicopters (x21), and Obama quickly caved- what does he care, it’s only taxpayer money.”

I want to scream!!!

BTW-There’s NOTHING the Russians need or want from us that they can’t achieve/get somewhere else cheaper and more easily. Be our friends???? WHY?? AND ‘O’ is too stupid to figure this out.

“O” has taken great pains and performed the most shameful and publicly obsequious acts to make the US appear insignificant, weak, vulnerable and irresolute.

How can he expect to negotiate with other powers from a position of SELF-INDUCED/SELF-DEFINED weakness?????

What a dumb f%$# our President is.

Russia is not necessarily an enemy - they are an independent power with their own interests which they will pursue even if they are detrimental to our interests.

They might be temporary allies on some things, but they are not friends.

oh, i forgot about our good NATO ally Turkey. ...the one who wouldn’t let us land troops there for the Iraq war.

and the people in these countries hate us. even our allies Turkey and Pakistan. and they hate Israel.

yes, Putin will take advantage of our weak President.
but he’s not our enemy. and the Russian people certainly don’t hate us.

it’s the countries that DO, we should be doing something about, instead of giving them tons of money.

Poll: US, Israel Turkey’s main enemies
http://dugg.pk/poll-us-israel-turkey%e2%80%99s-main-enemies-152761.html
The people of Turkey regard the United States and Israel as their main enemies, the results of an opinion poll suggest.

Pakistan’s Enemy No.1
http://blogs.reuters.com/pakistan/2009/08/13/pakistans-enemy-no1/
Who is Pakistan’s biggest threat? Not the Taliban, not even India, but the United States, according to an overwhelming majority of Pakistanis surveyed in a poll just out.

Not necessarily an enemy, indeed they were to not be one at all you’d think... but they tend to go against us simply to do business with our enemies and prop up arm sales

I thought Bush reached out appropriately, but Putin didn’t find that useful for his agenda, he needs outside “threats” to justify his quasi-dictatorship

But the Russians are crossing a line, enabling enemy missile bases near our shores and bombing our embassies, doncha think! That’s what I’m saying...
