Jake Tapper Commits Journalism!
Grand Rants ^ | 08-04-11 | Stoutcat

ABC News’ Jake Tapper does a gorgeous job of getting Press Secretary Jay Carney to admit that the President, despite his renewed protestations of “laser-like focus” on jobs, really isn’t doing all that much. As usual.

Wouldn’t it have been nice to see this level of interest by reporters way back in 2007 and 2008?

Actually, having Obozo doing nothing is probably the best thing that could be happening to the economy right now.

Tapper is left leaning, but seems to actually do his job on some occasions.

Jake Tapper is one of the few mainstream reporters out there that I’d actually apply the label “journalist” to.

The Obama administration governs by saying things that sound good. Upon examination, there is nothing there.

The emperor has no clothes. Smart people saw it long ago. Average people saw it in 2010. Dumb people finally saw it this summer. Most journalists and blacks may eventually realize it, but I dunno ...

Indeed.

Market forces are understandable and predictable.

Government actions are arbitrary and capricious.

The market hates unpredictability.

The market picks winners and losers based upon merit.

Government picks winners and losers based upon nepotism, favoritism, lobbying, and campaign contributions.

That is exactly it.... they don’t want market forces picking winners and loser based upon merit - they want the power to themselves pick winners and losers based upon campaign contributions, insider status, nepotism, etc, etc.

One of the reasons the USA is top of the heap is that we still allow the market to work. Nations like India are economic basket cases because their system is like feudal capitalism.

“The Obama administration governs by saying things that sound good. Upon examination, there is nothing there.”

That is typical of Liberals across the board and not just this administration. There has always existed a tacit agreement between the MSM and Liberal politicians to disregard logic and facts.

Conservatives stress the significance of logic and facts in their efforts to gain support… AND, a demonstrable and consistent adherence to logic and facts is routinely DEMANDED of them by Liberal politicians and the MSM ... who are never THEMSELVES asked or expected to be logical or consider facts.

It has been the basic and accepted schizophrenia of American politics for as long as I can remember.

With the advent of the Tea Party, that may not hold true for very much longer... or at least we may see somewhat of a lessening of it. We can hope, anyway!
